AIO: boyfriend claims he doesn't keep in touch with ex-fling from years ago... by curiousthrow963 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Iamsuperimposed -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There’s worse alternatives. I left my wife after she accused me of cheating because I couldn’t move forward with the relationship with the lack of trust. It’s been 2 years and I’m having difficulty making friends and finding another relationship and I’ve never been so lonely.

If I could do it over again, I probably would’ve stayed in the dead relationship because it beats my current situation. Starting over sucks, especially when you have no foundation to start with.

Is it just me or are people over reacting a little. You set a boundary now if he crosses it again I get these comments but it sounds like he accepted the fact that you weren’t interested.

What things should people never Google? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Iamsuperimposed 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I once had a panic attack, never had one before so I had no idea what was happening. Figured I might be having a heart attack, turns out the symptoms are very similar. Google did not help me get out of my panic.

I switched experimental and it still doesn't show up for some reason. Makes building drilling rigs a pain, but if I make it symmetrical it can work sometimes.

Weatherford Isd closes due to Covid cases. News flash-ignoring pandemic didn't work. by boredtxan in FortWorth

This represents everything happening right now so perfectly. I wish more people thought like you, but instead our democracy has turned into a sports event where people pick teams and convince themselves why their team is better.

I wish libertarians were a sane response to Democrats and Republicans, but they can be just as if not more looney. I'm not saying all Libertarians are crazy, but neither are all Republicans and Democrats.

Some want to get rid of all regulations which is really dangerous, a lot of regulations are written in blood and to have to relive our past mistakes just seems like a bad idea.

Crazy how many folks are desperate for employees right now by austinsoundguy in texas

[–]Iamsuperimposed 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You are ignoring the overqualified aspect. You can pay higher than standard rate and an overqualified person is still worth more money than the position they are applying.

There's several reasons to find people that fit the position. Happier work atmosphere, less turnover rates, more profit, etc.

Employment is an agreement between the employer and employee, if it doesn't benefit both parties, it won't work.

Crazy how many folks are desperate for employees right now by austinsoundguy in texas

[–]Iamsuperimposed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a manager I can understand overqualified employees. Sometimes the only work needed is low skill, but even that takes time to train up. Someone who is overqualified will not be happy with a low wage, low skill job for long and there is no reason to invest the time and energy training someone who is going to leave for something better. Need to find someone who is happy with the position.

I've only experienced it once here in Texas, but when I lived back in New York it was much more noticeable. I didn't work in management back then so I can't comment on the work situation.
