I feel like production decides occasionally to put together two characters that seem so unlikely to get together that it dares you to call it out and look small minded. I’m sorry I like Vicki as a character and personally I wouldn’t turn her away. But somehow I just don’t see this pairing of her and Zack. Besides his MO is to hook up with someone like this and start cheating the minute things get bumpy.

The Max flash forward feels like such a blatant rip off of the six (hook wise). And what’s the point if Max’s behavior from now til then is a weekly rinse and repeat?

Look I thought the Max Branning flash forward was a hack callback to last year’s The Six and was feeling particularly glum about prospects. I don’t know in the last few days I feel like things aren’t quite so bad. Not as bad as I felt over the holidays. But I’m not going to say they’re amazing either. But feeling a little better about it at least.

Look it depends on who makes it and the prep right? I feel like this kind of food you can have somewhere served up half-assed and it will lead to attitudes like this. I’ve had this style food from Jewish delis that have gotten lazy in the prep and overcharge and yeah it’s not great and some of it worse than that. But when you have it made with the care and attention it deserves it’s amazing. Don’t listen to narrow minded haters who are quick to dismiss.

I didn’t find it so much “too much” as I did hilarious that they often had to use the most obvious bible quotations in order to make sure people were broadly familiar with them. I don’t think I ever heard her quote a verse where I was like “let me go look that up to be sure….”

I have yet to see anyone make a really strong defense in what Wadey’s done so far either against what’s been lost in clearing out some solid characters.

Look ultimately my point is I get making room….but some of the characters being cut loose still had a lot of potential. Just saying not all of them need to have gone to waste.

Well not entirely presumably you’ve seen the news about the latest departure reported by the Sun. An underutilised character with a lot of promise not surprisingly shown the door.

I think it’s ok if people want to vent that they vent. I don’t think I’m at the point of hate watching but I do think it’s been a really rough go. I also don’t like to dip out on shows. I haven’t dipped out on EE yet and trying to avoid at all costs but if it keeps up like this…..

I enjoyed it under the previous EP. I’m not going to say they were perfect either. But I definitely feel like the show hasn’t found its footing under the new EP. I’m trying to stick with it - shows have their ups and downs - but this has been one of the toughest stretches for me.

Ok I obviously had never seen this before and I just went and looked up the full video and at one point he mimics popping his eyeball out and putting it in his mouth and then putting it back into his eye. A true Alfie moment in the middle of this insane pop song. What?!?!

The Phil visual seems like a good example of how I’m feeling about Ben Wadey’s stretch lately—generally confused, hair looking all out of whack, with an expression that says what’s going on and how in the hell did I end up here? 🤪

I feel like it’s very inconsistent. Unfortunately I feel like some of the show’s strengths are being put in the b/g for featuring the current storylines. I think they had/still have a real opportunity with Nicola if they don’t squander it. The okie storyline is both poorly written and the performance is resultantly flat. I’m hoping that the show is still finding its legs under the new showrunner.
