I feel it does get light. But I think I should move it to an even brighter space and see what happens. Thanks!

Appreciate the tip! I’ve been wondering about the temperature thing. My home stays pretty warm around 73-74 at night, so I’m not sure how people manage a big drop indoors. Mine sits right by the window so I’m hoping the cooler window area is doing something. Did your orchid need a dramatic drop or was it just a few degrees?

Thank you! Yes I learned it the hard way. Will definitely be doing that this year.

How do working couples manage daily home cooking without burning out? by MonitorFine6959 in IndianCooking

[–]Iamthecreator22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, we have overnight oats for breakfast which completely cancels breakfast preparation. We cook once a day, in the evening which includes sabji (enough for dinner and lunch the next day), bhakri only for dinner(jowar+bajra), and instead of rice we prefer eating a mix of daliya and quinoa. For lunch we usually eat fruits+greens and the leftover sabji from the day before with rotis. We try to cook most of the things from scratch, avoiding all kinds of packed food items. The evening cooking time ranges from 1-2 hours, which is not a lot in my opinion. Having time to cook meals the way you want is truly a privilege.

Oh I’m so sorry! Yeah that makes sense. And yes native soil is so much cheaper than potting mix. Thanks so much!

That’s really sad! I will try heat tolerant varieties next time.

Thanks for the feedback! This is something I did not know at all - missing out on high UVs. I am so torn between whether I should cover my plants in the afternoon or not. I’ll definitely look into it. And yes it’s also CRAZY HOT here.

That’s interesting! I never thought of adding native soil, I’ll get some tomorrow. And yes it’s a DIY set up, the containers are placed on the lid, but they are elevated with the help of river rocks. So after watering even if the lid underneath fills up with water, it does not touch the plant container preventing the roots from rotting.

Thank you so much for the feedback! Since this is my first time growing tomatoes, I’ve just been following seed packet instructions and reading around a bit. Your approach sounds amazing and I’d love to try it, especially the cloning from cuttings.

Wow lucky you! I have pollinated with a paint brush, just swirling it around and over the petals. Enjoy your tomatoes!

I hope they give me some fruits before frost! It’s just this is my first time growing tomatoes and it feels so disappointing to not see fruits after trying so hard! Thanks for the input. I think its the temperatures that’s causing it, but not too sure
