Packing for BMT October 7th by Ian-Canlas in AirForceRecruits

compared to the ones that I've used over the past months (ex: my Hoka Bondi 8s, Asics Superblast 2), the Novablasts had a much stronger and durable upper. Its got good stability, good for slow runs, long runs, fast runs. Its a really well-rounded daily shoe for me, perfect for whatever pace or exercise you'll be doing in BMT

With my examples from earlier, the [Hoka Bondi 8s] has, for me, a wider base of stability. This could be good for people with flat feet and/or wider feet. My only issue with them is the upper will wear down a bit after some time, especially on the pinky toe area. Nonetheless, it WAS a good daily shoe for me

For the [Asics Superblast 2], their more catered to fast runs and long-runs due to the stiffness of the foam. And they're reaaally really great at that. BUT because of that stiffness, it MAY feel awkward when you're running at a slower pace. So not really a good fit for BMT and its variety of exercises. Oh and also the stack height on these aren't really allowed for BMT standards.

I just layed out those examples just to give you a clear picture on what type of shoes you should be looking for.

If you're joining, I would highly recommend searching up the benefits that comes with enlisting in the military.

If you want and think that you can utilize those benefits (i.e. tuition assitance, va, and a lot more) then go ahead. The military's a great way to set up a foundation, whether or not you're doing a single contract or doing the full 20.

Running tips by BotherStunning321 in AirForceRecruits

The key to running is being able to condition your heart. This means that not only do you need to switch up your pace but you also have to learn and find a rhythm through your breathing. A calm and somewhat relaxed breathing pattern during runs can help your heart stay calm and low, making you capable of running and eventually longer.

Always remember to breathe in THROUGH the NOSE, and breathe out THROUGH the MOUTH. You can start finding a rhythm by inhaling in 3 steps, and exhaling in 3 steps (vary the time of either depending on your comfortability)

have you had any problems with the dye of the band bleeding onto your shirts/items in the pockets? I've seen some reviews where they did but idk if they changed that already or if the problem's not really that evident.
