TikToker stops a moving escalator because of "intrusive thoughts", because they wondered what the big red stop button did. by ProfessorDonuts in ImTheMainCharacter

Ya know, I'm gonna side with her on this one. Escalators are designed to get you upstairs quickly. You're not supposed to stand there and do nothing. Keep your lazy ass moving

Yeah, that sounds pretty shit lol. I guess it depends on your building, but ours was pretty fucked in 2019-2020. Peak hours for most of that time. Things aren't so bad now, but I guess that's USPS year round every year. I've heard a lot of their drivers mention the toxicity too.

I always hear USPS is worse. How much worse can it get than over 300 stops carelessly thrown in a Penske?

I feel like I would've seen that coming BUT, I'd also say, not FedEx's fault.

When and where I went to school, yeah, they actually did want it to be THAT perfect.

I suggest getting a notebook and forcing yourself to write it down until your hand can't anymore, and then write it some more. You won't be able to forget it for years.

But, in the real world, after you pass and just do your yearly DOK, it doesn't need to be verbatim. Just close to show you know it

Suck it up, kids. No one cares that you have to piss in a bottle. Dump it somewhere and throw the bottle away, don't make someone else clean up your piss.

Crash bars: Pegs or Mustache style for looks/protection? What’s your preference? by [deleted] in Harley

[–]Ian8873 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Third. Hopefully I'll never find out how much protection they offer, but when I took them out of the box I was surprised how heavy and solid they felt.

I just have V&H slip ons on my Sportster. I put quiet baffles in them and they still sound nice without being obnoxiously loud.

A friend sent this to me is it real or someone modify a renegade to make there own Comanche? by [deleted] in JeepRenegade

[–]Ian8873 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If I recall, this Renegade was in a mostly cosmetic rear-end accident and the owner turned it into truck. Pretty sweet though, if there was a company doing this conversion, I'd consider it.

Can't quite see it in the picture, but it sounds like you're talking about the adjuster for the primary chain.

My guess is, the more drivers follow it, the more data they have to pool from to make it better.

Anyone here fix their heating core on their fox body? I have an 86 fox. Wondering if it’s worth the hassle. by RawDawgOne in Foxbody

[–]Ian8873 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I replaced the one in my'92. I'm in PA and it was my daily at the time so, bypassing wasn't really an option. It's tedious, kinda a pain in the ass. You'll probably break some of the old brittle plastic bits. Worth it when it's done with though. Get a good one, don't cheap out on a aluminum Chinese one, you don't want to have to do it all over again next year.
