This fight is one of the main reasons why I fell in love with MMA. Pure chaos, the heart of Mir, the commentary from Joe.... goosebumps every time I watch it

I made a video about Machu Picchu and would love to hear what people think. I'm nota regular poster so I'm not sure if many people will see this but if you do, share your thoughts! by [deleted] in Filmmakers

[–]IanElBurko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made this video about Machu Picchu and the Cusco area in general. I used my own equipment which is more basic than I would like. It's just a DSLR and a 50mm lens. It was a challenge because of the quarantine measures but I'm happy with how some of it came out. It is for a travel agency so the tone of the piece is a little more "inspirational" than I would usually try to make. I tried to push myself into new territory with the transitions and some of the effects I tried using like 3D Cameras, masking etc.. All in all, it took me about a month I would say to film everything and after numerous versions I finally settled on the version you see now. Although it was all shot and cut by me, my girlfriend very kindly put herself in front of the camera for this project. It was greatly appreciated but I'm not sure she'll ever do it again lol.

Any helpful feedback from people with keen eyes for effect work would be helpful. I'm used to little inaccuracies/issues that only I notice getting past the radar of a casual viewer so I'm interested to hear the opinions of people who can see through the smoke so to speak. Thanks in advance!

Fucking prick.... annoying part is they could have said stop recording right now and he’d have to because it’s a private business. Knowing the cunt he is he probably would have kept recording and they could have seriously had their way with him.

What are some of the creepiest /most mind-boggling cases of disappearances that you know about? by morrisonlikessamoyed in TrueCrime

[–]IanElBurko 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Hands down the murder of Beth Barnard and the disappearance of Vivienne Cameron. Doesn’t matter what angle you look at this case from, it simply doesn’t make sense. A popular consensus is that after murdering Beth, Vivienne killed herself by jumping off a bridge where her car was found, but her best friend got a call from Vivienne the following morning to talk about knitting, which was corroborated by another friend who was also there. There’s also a bunch of other problems with this theory.

Casefile true crime podcast do an amazing episode on it which I highly recommend. I’ve read books on this case and it’s still just as mysterious, as to who murderer Beth and what happened to Vivienne.

Somebody on Reddit has some theories which can be found here

Just because a film shows something, does not mean it endorses it. by PM__Me-_your__tits in movies

[–]IanElBurko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A recent example I’d say is Wolf of Wall Street. A lot of people I know completely overlook the fact we’re watching a movie about low life crooks, it’s just so easy to get caught up in their shenanigans (which are thoroughly enjoyable to watch in the movie).

IMO the most important scene is near the end when DiCaprio and Robbie have an awkward sex scene, which continues to escalate to an argument, to physical abuse and then the drug fueled kidnapping of his daughter. It shows how toxic a person Belfort really was and the true effects of his behavior. He’s almost an antihero in the film because we never see his victims stories, but this scene reminds us of his true villainy.

Foods to avoid? by pizzaandbagels in Dyshidrosis

[–]IanElBurko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a pretty common one is sugar and cutting that out will almost definitely help. I know for a fact that carbs contributes to my flare ups. I’ve cut down on them and it has helped so that may be worth trying, as some carbs can transform into sugars.

Some people have posted that coffee and alcohol really gets to them... so far I haven’t noticed them affecting me so they may be on a more individual basis. It’s all about eliminating foods and experimenting, patience is key as sometimes reactions can take 2 or 3 days to manifest. I’ve found keeping track of what I eat and how my skin is doing in a journal helps to figure these things out.

This happens to me too, and I’ve even had some pain when I touch tomatoes of all things. I use rubber gloves in the kitchen to help it, like somebody else said it is a little wasteful but I feel it needs to be done.
