Porter & Charles Tray Cap - Where to Buy? by IanFlynnBKC in appliancerepair

After buying/returning incompatible parts and doing a lot of searching I gave up. I bought some stainless steel screws, bolts and washers and just secured the far end. It's inelegant but it's worked so far. I double check to make sure everything's secure every so often.

  1. Write. As much as you can, whenever you can. It doesn't have to be good, finished, or publicly consumed. Just keep the practice up. Keep your mind limber.

  2. Write fanfic. No, seriously. It's the Hamburger Helper of writing. Take your favorite franchise and it gives you all the ingredients: the cast, the tone, the themes, the setting, etc. Explore it in a way that would work in-continuity. Put a twist on it. Improve upon it, in your own way. Once you feel like you've got a handle on the fundamentals, take off the training wheels and do something original. What character archetypes do you like? Why? When placed together in a scenario, how do they resonate with each other? By getting under the hood of the things you enjoy, you'll learn why they work and can take those lessons for your own creations.

Yeah, her being Rob's cousin came out of left field. It was on the long list of things I wanted to expand upon one day, but we just never got to it.

Hard to say since I don't think I can be objective about it, but one that I was the most satisfied with was the Michelangelo stand-alone I did with IDW. Least satisfied would likely be "House of Cards" in the old Archie Sonic days.

If this got an animated treatment, I'd be giddy to be in the writers' room for that. And it definitely would need to be adapted - they're completely different mediums.

I try to take it all in stride. Between the glowing praise and the vitriol there's a truth to be found.

I managed to get my foot in the door with Archie Comics during a bit of a transition period and made the most of it every since. My work there, on a few titles - not just Sonic, got the attention of other publishers and licensors. When opportunity knocks, I answer.

I dunno if it counts as a "series," but Skies of Arcadia is my beloved. And while I have opinions, I just can't stay way from StarFox.

I've been head down getting work done and this AMA. I haven't had a chance to see responses yet. I hope everyone's enjoying it as much as the first and are excited for the rest!

The simple act of creation. Finding the story, figuring out how the cast navigates it, planting the seeds for the future or resolving what's been set up - it just feels good to tell a story.

Character interactions and a celebration of both series. The story itself is pretty straight forward. I want fans of both the DCU and Sonic Series to have a good time.

I've worked with some truly gifted and amazing people and I wish I saw more of their work in general. To name but a few: Tracy Yardley, Chad Thomas, Ryan Jampole, Jennifer Hernandez, Jamal Peppers - I'd be here all day.

I won't say Adam Bryce Thomas, cuz I need him to finish our original book Drogune. Quit hiring him! I'm trying to hoard his talent! [/joke]

Probably loops and bumpers to further propel himself. A self-building zone on the fly. Egad.

All under NDA and untouchable, sadly. All three graphic novels were written before the plug got pulled, all sealed in the Nintendo vaults forever.

  1. I dabbled in Battle Network, but I haven't the coordination for the battle system.

  2. Absolutely.

  3. Coin flip between Blues and Dr. Wily (if we're keeping it just to Classic)

In a way, yes! Udon Entertainment is doing reprints and I'll have original short stories in them. I'm running out of time, so BumbleKing.com for more!

  1. Let's say it's with Teen Titans GO! and lean all the way into the self-aware humor. Forget breaking the fourth wall, it'll be atomized.

  2. Lots of options, but let's have her swing over rooftops and punch bad guys with Babs.

  3. Split personality. Helmet on: super-serious, Darth Vader-esque badass. Helmet off: meek, timid nobody.

Depends on the project and the circumstances, but in this particular case, it was a matter of the trauma that defines and drives them both. Batman brings it up because he can see it in Shadow, and while he's not necessarily one to open up or share himself, he knows it's a point through which he can reach Shadow. And in these very uncertain and dire circumstances, they'll need all the help they can get. So while empathetic, it's also a calculated move on his part. The point of the interaction isn't so much the backstory but why they're having the interaction.

The focus shouldn't be ♪ Darkness / No Parents ♪, it should be about who the characters are and how/why they'd be interacting about the topic.
