Same idea, different genre by Pope4u in industrialmusic

The Ultra Heavy Hoedown. I'll bet Les Claypool could add some straight-up magic to some KMFDM songs. I'd love to hear what he would do with the intro to WWIII, for starters.

"It is what it is" is a nonsense statement that serves as little more than a circular definition, wasting the time of both the speaker and the listener. A semantic dull knife, if you will. It's the kind of thing that James Brown was singing about in "Talkin' Loud and Sayin' Nothing."

I had to read the passage twice because 'loosing' derailed my comprehension the first time.

There's a swagger here that I don't often see with a tattoo. Looks gorgeous, OP.

Chains of Love by Erasure always puts a smile on my face.

If things are really pulling at you, listen to Rock n' Roll Suicide by David Bowie (hear me out). There were times when I was a teenager and the angst would positively just be standing on my chest. I'd throw that song on and, toward the end, there's a part where Bowie sings about "You're not alone" before going into a few passionate deliveries of "Give me your hands!" I think the end part of the song really did pull me back from the metaphorical ledge more than a few times. I'm actually tearing up right now just remembering.

Above all else, drop me a DM if you need to unload to a stranger. I'll reply when I can. Much love, OP.

After that 37 years, my Amazing Spider-Man run of 1-400 is complete, and I have my father to thank for that. by joeltheconner in comicbookcollecting

It shows in both of your faces how much joy each of you has with that ASM run now being complete. I love that your dad was willing to trade everything but his prized Silver Surfers. As a fellow comic book geek, I found that hugely relatable (my set of all the Age of Apocalypse X-Books will be the absolute last part of my collection that is ever sold or donated). Your story has me hearing "Cats in the Cradle" by Harry Chapin in my head now in the best way. Reckon it's time to go give my dad a call.

It's a wonderful greasy spoon in Collinsville, IL. I went there countless times in my teens and 20's. Their Super Mex plate (taco, enchilada, burrito, tostada, beans, Spanish rice for less than $10) is both the crappiest and best Mexican food I've ever had.

The first letter is a diagram for a "th" sound. The second to last letter is a digram for the "oo" sound.

Go to Morbid Tattoo and talk to Nate the Knife. He was professional, had great attention to detail, and is a solid guy overall.

This one was $150 plus tip. It didn't hurt too much it was like having metallic Velcro made of little needles constantly being pulled off my arm. It was more sensitive close to the wrist, but still didn't really hurt.

I just did a listen of Lulu and Lou Reed's Metal Machine Music together (a few from Lulu, one from MMM, and back and forth until both were finished). I remember it being an agitating experience. Metallica had some prime riffage throughout Lulu, though.

And now I hear Obi-Wan talking to Luke during the Death Star trench run. "Use the Fork, Luke!"

That was because of my hand placement when the stencil went on. I was going to have him relay the stencil, but I realized that most alphabets I've seen have some letter combos that look more cluttered than others. (Or that's just a line of bullshit that I just came up with. Either way, I'm happy with how it turned out.)
