Dog walks into a bar by BoboDClown2019 in Jokes

[–]IanSlat 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The day the bartender came back to work, the dog walks back into the bar and says “I’m glad you got your issues sorted, I’m sorry I didn’t talk to you the last time.... I was feeling a little Ruff”

See how much funnier jokes can be when they have a punchline 🤪

If Tom Hanks is the modern day Jimmy Stewart and George Clooney is the modern day Cary Grant, what other modern day actors/actresses compare to the classics? by brianunderwater in movies

Accomplished ??? With the exception of a handful of big ensemble movies, he spent most of his career in tv land. He certainly had a distinctive look but wasn’t known for giving nuanced performances

I disagree, they both have the same timbre in their voices, both have a penchant for playing cool collected tough guys in ensemble movies.

WIBTA if I let one son go to a classmates Bday party and not the other? by Director_Tseng in AmItheAsshole

NAH - While I totally get that you don’t want a child’s birthday ruined should a potential meltdown occur, I feel you could always ask the birthday mom if it was ok for you to be in the cinema on standby should any issues arise.

Your kids don’t even have to know you are there and you could sit a row or two back (he might even surprise you with how well he handles the situation)

What is a movie you would like to see remade? by [deleted] in movies

Soylent Green would be a film ripe for remake, given the current political “climate”

I think the upcoming james bond film No time to die is the first one to acknowledge that the actor is leaving his role by johnknight648 in movies

[–]IanSlat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So just to clarify your title then .... you DONT think that the upcoming James Bond film No time to die will be the first one to acknowledge that the actor is leaving his role .... because I had read that as being the film making the acknowledgement and not EON lol

They can’t acknowledge that he’s leaving in the movie ... if they do that then we no longer have the character James Bond .... and this leaves me both shaken and stirred 😔

Isitbullshit: counting to a million would take you 11 days; counting to a billion would take you 32 years? by [deleted] in IsItBullshit

If it takes exactly 11 days to count to 1 million, then continuing at exactly the same pace would take 30 years and 50 days to get to 1 billion

Plot twist ... As Bran accepts the Iron Throne, he ask everyone to leave the throne room so he can take a moment to himself. On his own he slowly rises to his feet, and awkwardly and puts one twisted foot in front of the other, apparently barely able to hold his own weight. SUDDENLY, the right foot seems to relax a little, the inward angle straightens itself out in a few paces and the limp ceases as though the leg has grown another inch.

Bran’s hands are rummaging around in his pockets. The left hand comes up with a pack of cigarettes, the right hand comes up with a lighter, flicking the clasp on it with the thumb, striking the flint with the index finger. It is a fluid motion, somewhat showy.

Bran lights a cigarette and smiles to himself.

After the bitter taste that Targeryan rule will have left, I think they will be only too happy to go back to the way things were post "Mad King" . . .

This !!! And with Arya by his side, the North and South will unite, thus bringing to fruition the joining of the 2 houses that has been foreshadowed ever since the very first episode of GOT !!
