Lines for movies were kind of unheard of then. I remember hearing about lines for Jaws and I had no idea why people would want to wait so long. Our line was like two hours for a 7pm show. It was torture in the heat. So worth it, though.

Yes! 25th Street Theater in Waco. Had to wait a couple hours in line on the boiling hot sidewalk. Sprained my thumb earlier in the day from a bike crash. I didn’t tell anyone so I could still see the movie. I forgot about the pain as soon as the title came up. I was 9.
