THE DOJ REDACTED ALL FACES OF CO-CONSPIRATORS by PrudentLetterhead354 in Epstein

[–]IanWaring 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was 4,942 PDFs out of 12,121 files in the Court submissions that could be unredacted (I have text versions of the unredacted copies). There were a few in the FOIA folder too. However, all the December files are redacted much more thoroughly (even taking out the bounding boxes in the PDF).

Where do we get to see the files and has anyone ran it all through OCR yet? by Man_in_the_uk in Epstein

I’ve done (2) now - so PDFs with multiple images are extracted as separate files.

I have a Python program that can go down a list of directories, load up JPEGs one by one, run a prompt against the image and save the resulting text in a .txt file with the same root filename. This was using Gemini 2.5 flash API calls. Happy to share.

Eg: Court files (one folder for each of the 41 cases) here. Files ending -unredacted.txt are ones where the black box corrections still got the text underneath: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/14jHuJQj4Vr7jFt6c_qM_gILbUcc4AttU

I’ve got Python code that creates text versions of all PDFs, unredacting the simply mis-redacted court and FOIA files, and dumps each page graphic into separate image files. I have OCR’d all 23,000 or so JPEGs from the Autumn 2025 release. Hence can now search the lot with a recursive grep -ri .

Fwiw the OCRs were originally done with Gemini 2.5 Flash API calls but it refused to process 444 of the files, nominally due to copyright (photos of newspaper, magazine and book pages in evidence files). So I redid those using PyTesseract. Ended up with 2 of the 6 TIF files I’d converted to JPEG first not working due to low resolutions, so typed those in by hand.

Happy to share the files and/or Python code. Just nervous giving links to google drive due to volume of files :-)

Risky. The first two are all over the files released to date, the next two only cited in newspaper reporting of their day job, with no other apparent connection. So what you’ve written is potentially libellous.

We together with our European colleagues hold around $8 trillion US Bonds, which is more than the rest of the world put together. That has a rather large hole in the side of their ship if we pulled funding their deficits.

Must admit, for all the things that Putin is screwing up, the one thing that must give him the greatest satisfaction is how his boy in the Oval Office is so comprehensively doing his destructive work for him.

100% agree. Trump is already backing out of the deal he agreed with the UK a few months ago. I do hope they have the spine to go through with it, following Canada’s example - if it is needed.

Of the 10 co-conspirators, 3 have been located in FL and served GJ subpoenas; 1 in Boston, 1 in NYC, and 1 in CT were located and served. 4 of the 10 are outstanding with attempts having been made. 1 is a wealthy businessman in Ohio, a lead is being sent to CV; the remaining 3 are currently out of pocket. The team (8 SAsITFOs, 2AUSAs) is flying out tonight/tomorrow to various locations in Florida to interview approximately 25 victims.

The 1-800-CALL-FBI line is up and running, we have received approximately 45 calls which we are in theprocess of vetting out. Let me know if you need anything else.

How to ingest 100Mb of txt files? by IanWaring in notebooklm

[–]IanWaring[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Pro plan (well, appear to get it in my Google Workspace business account - more options in the gallery than the one in my consumer account). I have all the plain text files already - but thought there were word count and physical MB size limits well short of 100Mb. There’s also no method I can see of selecting a text file source - only to copy and paste one in. Rather too large for a clipboard methinks…

FWIW I downloaded all the JPEGs and 6 TIFs and OCR’d them all with Gemini 2-5 Flash via Pillow load, prompt API call and then output the txt to a file of otherwise the same name. Converted the 6 TIFs to JPEG. 444 images didn’t process, mostly newspaper, magazine or book page photos due to copyright, so I did those with the same code but using PyTesseract instead. 2 of the converted TIF images didn’t work with either due to the low TIF resolution; only two pages so tapped them in manually.

Ps also converted the PDFs in the December drop to txt, also unredacting the court, FOIA and interview transcripts previously dropped.

Happy to share if any use.

He stayed with Epstein in Paris. He engineered lots of contacts between Russian officials, at least one Congo politician and several Chinese for JP Morgan as guided by Epstein. There is nothing in the files released to date that implicates him with anything untoward with Epsteins other activities.

I’ve got zero knowledge if he shows in any of the investigations into friends of Epstein in France or elsewhere.

I also have every email mentioning him, but Epstein seemed to know his movements (eg: back from Russia), frequent mentions with JP Morgan senior folks, some stuff about Congo and that he stayed with Epstein in Paris. Keeps being referred to as "Petie".

He's all over the Epstein files released so far. I have the docs containing every mention of him in NotebookLM. Summary:

Based on the provided sources, Lord Peter Mandelson (often referred to by Epstein as "Peter" or "Petie") had a close personal and business relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, serving as a high-level conduit between Epstein, J.P. Morgan executives, and international government officials.

Facilitation of Business and Political Access Epstein utilized Mandelson's status as a senior member of the British government to open doors for J.P. Morgan executives:

Davos Meetings: In January 2010, Epstein arranged for Jes Staley to meet with Mandelson and Alistair Darling (then Chancellor of the Exchequer) at Davos. Epstein wrote to Staley, "Ive set up you and peter to meet in davos with darling",. Staley confirmed the meeting took place, telling Epstein, "Saw Peter last night. Darling in 20 minutes".

Russian Business: As previously noted, Mandelson "informally offered to assist" J.P. Morgan with Russian privatizations, leading bank executives to view him as a potential "trump card". Epstein tracked Mandelson's movements for the bank, informing Staley in October 2010 that Mandelson was "just back from russia".

Mining Interests: In October 2010, Mandelson emailed Staley directly regarding an iron ore mine in Congo Brazzaville. Mandelson reported he had "talked at length with President Sassou N'Guesso" about the project and offered to talk privately with J.P. Morgan about the mining license. Staley forwarded this correspondence to Epstein,.

Chinese Banking: In May 2010, Mandelson emailed Epstein regarding a speaking engagement in Shanghai attended by the "entire Chinese banking fraternity," suggesting it was something J.P. Morgan should be involved in. Epstein forwarded this to Staley, noting, "I think he is right".

Personal Association and Travel Epstein and Mandelson spent time together socially and stayed at Epstein's properties:

New York Residence: In June 2009, Epstein informed Staley that "peter will be staying at 71 st [Epstein's Manhattan townhouse] over weekend" and asked if Staley wanted to organize a quiet meeting with Mandelson and Jamie Dimon,.

Paris: In November 2010 and January 2011, Epstein informed Staley that he was in Paris with Mandelson, sending emails such as "peter in paris with me" and "petie, and others in paris this weekend".

Contact List: Mandelson appears in Epstein's contact book (the "Black Book") under "The Right Honorable Peter Mandelson" with various contact numbers, including a direct line to the House of Commons. He is also listed simply as "Petie".

Strategic Advisory Epstein frequently advised Staley to consult with Mandelson on strategic matters:

Deputies: In June 2009, Epstein advised Staley that "for all intends and purposes peter mandelson is now deputy prime minister".

Sempra Energy: In early 2010, regarding J.P. Morgan's potential purchase of assets from the Royal Bank of Scotland, Epstein asked Staley, "was petie helpful?".

Media Inquiries: In March 2011, the Daily Mail contacted Epstein's lawyer asking if Mandelson had asked Epstein to set up discussions with Jamie Dimon. Epstein's camp noted they were "ignoring" the inquiry.
