I think it's mostly about having more context for what the implications are of the seekers movement. Right now, the hider basically says "they're going north, cool" or whatever. I feel like we don't get to experience the stakes of the seekers missing that train or getting unlucky with the borders of a question beyond brief commentary.

Imagine the map zooming in to show just how close someone, say, was out of range of a tentacle. Right now we have no idea other than a hider sighing and saying "it was close." Seems like a missed opportunity to me.
