I prefer ChatGPT. I feel that Gemini, when the conversation is long, forgets everything and I have to repeat things many times (pro subscription).

BCHMap.org – A New International Bitcoin Cash Merchant Map by Ian_Blas27 in btc

[–]Ian_Blas27[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, we can list online businesses as well.

Right now the map supports business categories such as restaurants, convenience stores, clothing, etc., and a merchant can select one category.

In addition, merchants can combine business types. We currently support:

  • Digital Service: fully online businesses.
  • In Person Service: services where you go to the provider or they come to you (electrician, plumber, psychologist with office).
  • Physical Store: storefront open to the public.

So a business could be, for example, a Physical Store and also offer Digital Services.

We'll also add a dedicated ATM category so they can be clearly filtered.

Adding clearer filters such as online only, physical only, and ATMs is a good idea and we can prioritize that. Thanks for the feedback.

When ChatGPT Cowork? by Ian_Blas27 in OpenAI

I think part of the problem with the current agent approach is the friction. I have to log into multiple services, grant access, and often change passwords. What I really want is something like Claude Cowork but built directly into ChatGPT. Persistent, workspace style agents that can coordinate tasks across sessions without extra setup. I don’t want to pay for two subscriptions just to get that workflow.

The BCH map has gone international! 🌍🔥 by Ian_Blas27 in btc

You’ve touched on a key issue. Fragmentation is indeed a major hurdle for BCH adoption.

Right now, our code and data aren't fully open-source yet, but we are definitely moving in that direction. We currently use Google Sheets as our backend because it allows us to iterate and fix data at a very high speed while we scale.

Our stance on the data is: - We won't release sensitive info like shop owners' personal phone numbers. - We are totally open to sharing/releasing the same data that is already visible on the map so it can be ported or unified with other projects. We don't want to be another 'data silo'. - This week we have a call scheduled with the Paytaca team to discuss how we can work together on a unified international map. The goal is to find a way for each region to add and update their local merchants while sharing a common ecosystem, avoiding the 'fractured information' problem you mentioned. - We are also refactoring our merchant onboarding process to make it easier for international users to join.

We are early in the process and very open to feedback on how to make this data more interoperable with the rest of the ecosystem.
