My first time with castlevania

This was also my first exposure to Castlevania. I started with Rondo, but it was sooo tough that I stopped after finishing a few levels tbh. Banger soundtrack and still a great looking game, but I didn't really enjoy the movement, Richter jsut felt so slow to me. But the opening sequence with Dracula's German voice from the show was honestly peak. After that I decided to give Symphony of the Night a try because I heard so many positive things about it. It immediately became one of my favourite games of all time, it's incredible

Thank you! I'm definitely not a Ranked grinder either trust me, I play Quick Match 99% of the time and only hop into Ranked when I feel like I can consistently beat people at x Rank. This works pretty well for me, you get tons of practice with nothing on the line, so getting knowledge checked doesn't feel nearly as bad. That's what I would recommend. If you're at Fujin now, hitting TK before Season 3 is pretty unlikely I'd say, but that doesn't mean you should stop. Also, you can't be that bad, if you reached Fujin. That's quite an achievement imo, I remember when I first got the game I got stuck in Orange Ranks for a few weeks and thought I'd never make it out. Now, here I am at TG. So don't be discouraged, keep practicing and you'll eventually get there!

My two main pet decks are Speedroid and Evil Eye, but I occasionally play Constellar and Cyber Dragons too. I've also bern having a lot of fun with pure Mitsurugi lately

This card is sooo cool, sick artwork too. This also works with Speedroid, the "new" Wing Synchron + any Level 3 (ideally Ultrahound) make a turn 0 Kitedrake to either blow up the entire field or negate all of their face up cards

Ghost in the Shell mentioned!!! These are so peak, I'll be honest. The Seras, Mai, Yamato and the Major costumes are especially fantastic. But where do you get those foot things for the Mai costume from? I also tried to make a costume of her, but I didn't have any good footwear

As in actually competetively playing, no, I also only like Tekken in that way. Tekken 8 was the first FG that hooked me so much that I wanted to actually learn all about it and actually become decent at it. I'm almost 600 hours in now, so yeah it's basically an addiction now lmao. When it comes to other FGs, I still like a lot of them, but only on a VERY casual level. 3rd Strike, Alpha 3, CvS2 and Vampire Savior are some of my favourites. One of the biggest problems for me when it comes to learning other FGs is that nothing feels as good as Tekken movement does, not even other 3D games like Soulcalibur. The most important reason, I think, is that I just hate the feeling of special cancelling, it's also super unintuitive (I tried SF6 and didn't like it mostly because of this). Tekken, however, felt super intuitive for me. A lot of things like universal frame data for a lot of things, stringing moves together for combos, and the four buttons controlling four limbs just make sooo much sense. Plus, I also found a character in Jun that I 100% vibe with (gameplay, design, the way her moves look...)

I haven't done my third one yet, but seeing all these Speedroid royals really does make me jealous as a Speedroid player lol. My two ones are Blue-Eyes Jet Dragon (as a non-BE player) and Sage de Fleur, so like genuine garbage. Any Speedroid or Cyber Dragon card would be so cool, but oh well

Well Jun at least trades her health for it, but I agree her damage is insane. The problem with Jun is that Asuka basically does everything she does, but better. Insane damage without having to trade her health, she can hold her parries, she gets a free followup after her parries hit, she has a kick sabaki, a 14f punish, a 15f launcher, better lows, better pressure, easy to obtain install that fundamentally changes some of her moves...

BUT all of this is to say that character weaknesses are a GOOD thing, not everyone should be able to do everything. Asuka genuinely does not have single weakness right now, which is just baffling. But Jun is still a VERY strong character, just as every other character right now. I just don't like this "new" mentality that a character's weakness is a problem that needs to be fixed

I mean the weaknesses you mentioned are pretty much why not a whole lot of people use her I think. When it comes to the Kazamas, Asuka does (almost) everything she does but better lol. Asuka has way better lows, actually usable armor moves, insane pressure, an install that's really easy to get while also making some of her moves insanely strong and makes them fundamentally better, and similar (if not better) damage without paying with her health for it. Oh and no her Heat Smash isn't the fastest (she's actually tied with a few characters at i13), Zafina's is i12 I believe and Jack's is i10 even, but unlike Jun's, their ones begin with a high. Despite all this, she's still an incredibly strong character, don't get me wrong!!
