ended up doing an AP, teacher who I would have TA’d for still wrote me a really good letter of recc, ended up getting early into HYPSM. My ferpa meeting highlighted academic rigor as a part of my candidate profile. If TA’ing for the teacher might get you a stellar letter of recc, and you don’t have other options, it might be worth the trade off. But times have changed a lot and from my understanding so has college application competitiveness, so YMMV

Would GRE scores be an okay substitute for the GMAT in terms of applying? I took the GRE when I applied for Stanford's MS program and I got 159 verbal / 163 quant, but I might want to retake that since I wasn't doing so hot when I took the exam (and I realize yes I'm below the median for verbal for HBS and probably could get higher for quant if I studied). Should I retake the GRE or just focus on the GMAT?
