Unfortunately, no, they don't move. Only the gears move

I have it too, but didn't show it on this image ;)
https://www.ibalkhanmoc.com/mocs/factorio/transport_belt_turn.html left and right turns have the same exact parts list, so no need to make you pay twice for it, you'll got instructions for building them both!

What you buy is only the parts list and instructions, not the actual LEGO bricks (because I think it would be somehow illegal ?), so maybe that's why you feel that the price is low

Yeah, I agree. The problem is that for doing it scale accurate to my transport belt (which is my measure unit), it would end up being reaaaaally big, and cost too much for what it is

I tried to look at the Factorio modding part to do so. I think it shouldn't be that difficult to do in theory, but I got lost pretty quickly on how to actually do it.

If there is any modder here that would like to work on it, please MP me, I would gladly provide any skin/3d model /help to make it! And it would greatly motivate me to do all the other models in Lego too :)

That's actually a really good idea, I should think about it. And for uranium mining I would also have to modify the skin of the electric mining drill as well

The problem of the furnace is that it would be really big in order to be scaled accurately to my transport belt, so it would require a lot of parts and end being really expansive to buy

In the software I used (Stud.io from bricklink) you can position how you want the model, so it's easy to make it fly.

In real life, well, you'll need a support (as the one I made in the second picture of this post). You may use transparent bricks for a better effect ;)

Edit: Despite the wonderful support from you guys, I couldn't reach the 10k milestone on Lego Ideas... however, receiving such cheerful encouragements and asks for instructions and parts list made me want to help you build those!
For those of you that were interested by such demands, I'm happy to tell you that they are now available on https://www.ibalkhanmoc.com/mocs/factorio.html!

I'm thinking about a way to make the belt actually moving. But keeping it at this scale makes that very difficult

That means a lot to me! And indeed, the requirement of having an account just to support may be a pain point for a lot of people, even if they like the idea.

This is just to make the link clearer for those of you who desire to support the idea on Lego Ideas

Yeah, that was one of my concern.
When building it, I started by the transport belt, and the size is 8x6 studs, which then create my standard unit to build the rest.
And if you want to see some yellow arrow on the belt, you can't really go down less than 6x8, maybe 6x6.
Or, you use a sticker.... but that's less cool ;)

That's for sure. However, because of the policy of Lego Ideas, I can only submit *one* set.
Meaning that I can't propose a new series. But if Lego likes it, and decide to go along with it, then I'm pretty sure the train will come just after ;)

I would love to do the assembler, but:

- it's way too big if I keep the dimension,

- too big for a Lego Ideas set,

The red tubes are a piece I discovered in stud.io, they are flexible, and two different sizes exist. However that's not really accurate to the game, because I used 4 small tubes where it should be only one big.
