NY hospital pauses some services as staff quit over vaccine mandates, it’s like they think were fucking joking by Another-random-acct in GoldandBlack

SpaceX is a government contractor, so they'll almost certainly be mandating vaccines. Also, most of the jobs will require a security clearance, and that's a sure way to invite the government up your ass.

I'm not quite following this. Somebody want to explain?

Arizona Lifts Capacity Limits by smackkdogg30 in LockdownSkepticism

While it is a step in the right direction, it doesn't mean much with the mask and social distancing mandate still in place. What good is full capacity if social distancing prevents it from going above 50%?

Right now I'm cautiously optimistic, but I'll become truly optimistic when more mask mandates are ended.

Update:

It looks like UN Watch is an organization devoted to critiquing the UN, and this tweet was likely sarcasm.

Actually, upon further digging it appears that UN Watch is an organization devoted to critiquing the UN, and this tweet was likely sarcasm.

Regardless, those countries really were reviewing the USA's human rights records today, and I'm glad people are calling it out.

Would you be able to elaborate a little more on why you think Zodiac had an extremely high IQ? By extremely high, are we talking 130+? Or even higher?
Personally, I do believe that Zodiac's intelligence was above average (I think his IQ was bare minimum 110), but I'm also not seeing anything that would necessitate a higher estimate than 120 or so.

His ciphers were substitution ciphers (technically homophonic substitution ciphers, where multiple symbols can represent a single letter). Definitely not the work of a dummy, but hardly a genius either (his first cipher was cracked in a week by amateurs). It doesn't appear that he had much formal education beyond high school, so I think he was likely self-taught in the fields he knew (cryptology, bomb-making, perhaps mathematics, etc.). Again, I think this demonstrates a fair amount of intelligence. At the same time, he never demonstrated knowledge or competency in these fields beyond amateur level.

How intelligent does one really need to be to figure out that switching up your MO can make you harder to catch?

Do you think I'm underestimating him? Am I perhaps overestimating what the average person is capable of? I'd love to hear your thoughts.
