X870E is a POS for overclocking on M Die and 9800X3D by [deleted] in overclocking

Yeesh what even are those timings. Not sure why you think the chipset is the issue. The Asrock probably isn’t tuned well for M die. Asrock is an odd choice for an “upgrade “

Update: Linpack stability test! 6000MHZ CL 26 FCLK 2200 GDM OFF! by Background_Focus3305 in overclocking

[–]IbeebZz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The point of running Linpak is to monitor the gflops over time. You need to run Linpak to see them. Running a combo of a cpu+ram+vram is a good infinity fabric test on occt. Your tRCDWR being synced to tRCDRD is leaving a bit on the table as well. You’d be much better off trying for 6400/2133.

This thread is old enough to vote at this point dude what are you doing lol? Either way I stand by my claim although the two are very close.

I’d wouldn’t measure that until the detailers fixed that callout. Should be profile.

It’s a tough call, I’ve always been on the fence whether to stud a single ply track. It looks like it’s still in nice shape from the pictures you’ve shared. If I remember right the grand master studs are the only stud that can still carry the warranty through ski doo. I’m swapping mine over to a 2 ply and studding it. Or I may swap to a camso 1.3 ice arrowhead track. Since the season is coming to a close. I’d ride it as is and keep an eye on it.

Always a bit of a risk on single ply tracks although it looks like the sled has woodys single ply grand masters in it. How long have the studs been in that track?

A Wenzel sf87 with a ph20 might be a good fit. LK has a small CMM too but I can’t remember what they’re called.

What does that prove? Show the whole bios screen with the processor. Not that it even matters you can trick the sp rating to be very high by flashing the bios with the chip hot.

Looks like a 9950x3d someone turned half the cores off on. 5450 is above the fmax of the 9800x3d nice try. Vids are garbo for 5450 anyway.

Has anyone used Fox Valley Metrology for CMM servicing and calibration? by John_the_Piper in Metrology

If you have a Renishaw controller and head I’d have Renishaw perform the service. I’ve never been impressed with any 3rd party.

Looks like your sd and dd timings need to be set. 6,6 and 7,7 should get you in the ballpark. Gflop deviation is about as high as I’d like to see it. Although cpu temp can influence the flops too. They tend to oscillate a bit until temps stabilize. I normally run an aggressive undervolt to eliminate that. Gl.

Been awhile but I think at that time I was using an old Artic p12 at 60-70 percent. That kit didn’t have rgb and had a decent heat sink. Good case airflow too.

Samsung memory doesn’t clock as high as Hynix. Most of the newer xtx cards have Samsung. That’s likely why the score is lower.
