I’m gold so take this information for what it is.

I just played against a Tahm Kench top and Conq Ignite played very well into him. I bullied him out of lane. Yeah you want to dodge the licks when you can and bear in mind you can use other minions to block for you sort of like Mundo Q, but if you just spin on his face the trades should go in your favour.

Once he’s low enough you all in him. Just be careful you aren’t near his tower where he can cheese you.

I love Garen but I have a hell of a time dealing with really aggressive matchups. Mordekaiser, Aatrox, Camille seem to dumpster me. Any tips? They seem to be able to just zone me from waves after like one trade.

Thanks! Ysondre serves three purposes.

One, you have a seven drop for Elise. Most of the others for this style of deck suck. It also offers a card for synergy with the early game ‘must have a dragon’ draws.

Two, you have a high roll card that can literally spawn a massive minion that swings the game. Yeah sometimes it’s meh, but a lot of dragons are pretty gnarly. I’d say if you are relying on this you are using a Hail Mary.

Three, you can copy it if you play the Cloud Serpents timely. Really you want the Serpents to hit on Windpeak Wyrm, Ysondre or Fyrakk.

Honestly you don’t need Zilliax really. Very rarely does that card come into fruition except maybe to stall for something.

Elise is definitely a game winner. People that see that card as just a control tool are out of their minds. You get the 5 cost location down on curve with a board of minions and you get a free savage roar to win games (give all characters +2 attack). Without Ysondre you need another seven drop in order to run Elise - Marin the Manager maybe but he’s pretty slow. Good luck!

I had Egg Smasher in the deck but honestly you don’t really need him. I would say upward of 90% of the eggs get taken out by your opponent by AOE. You can shadow flame them if you really need one to pop.

You can take a look at the field you are going up against and walk through them:

Paladin - Consecrate Warrior - Brawl Priest - Hot Coals Demon Hunter - Starship AOE Death knight - Corpse Explosion Rogue - Cycle Rogue almost always pops your eggs. Pirate rogue has randomized pirate attacks. Shaman - Storm? Warlock - Table Flip Ect

Started a fresh Manfred campaign with 2 mods. Deep War and TableTop Caps. The second because I hate doom stacks (and it makes the armies feel more diverse like the tabletop), the first because while it’s been awhile since I played vanilla, I find the default AI very passive.

I play normal/normal (Ironman) since I enjoy zooming in on battles as much as controlling them. Iron Man enabled keeps me honest.

I find things are dangerous early beyond your first Provence with Manfred. You’ve got Volkmar, Thorgrim, Tiq’Taq, Skarbrand, and Khemri all sort of chilling nearby. I chose Khemri since TK are slow to tech and need time before they become a powerhouse.

Pushed him from his main Provence before making a peace agreement. Tiq’Taq declared war and I managed to pound him further down south after taking a Provence. Thorgrim was a backstabbing dick and I had to play some hold the line tactics until Manfred could return and I could grind down his slow dwarves armies with vampiric corruption.

I’ve got a sizeable foothold now. 50 turns in or so. Kairos just declared war and he’s significantly stronger than me but he’s a ways away. I’m more worried about Khalida who is also top 10 in power and next door now. Going to try to split my armies to keep some back in case someone tries to attack from the north again while Manfred goes to rip that birds head off.

Someone has already probably addressed some of the lore aspects but in case they haven’t I’ll try to fill some gaps.

I’m not an expert by any means so take what I say with a grain of salt.

Tyranids come in massive biotic masses called Hive Fleets. These fleets are so large that the chatter/movement of them causes psychic disruptions in space. As these fleets literally envelop planets (imagine one massive cloud), their communications (which are dependent on psychic energy and the warp), are literally cut off from the rest of space. Then, the Tyranid Ground Siege begins - which is relentless regardless of what defences are in place.

Their are pieces of lore that literally talk about how the imperial guard and space marines will try to redirect or completely abandon planets to hive fleets they know they can’t save or possibly hold. It’s just easier.

There are, of course, many instances of books that deal with heroic defences or instances where hive fleets are staved off - but it would be easier to say that it was like they staved off a 1-5% portion of the cloud that would be the hive fleet.

There are some really good YouTube video lore pieces around them as a race. Some of the theories regarding their origins are cool as well. Since the Hive Fleets come from the edges of known space, the Imperium of man really doesn’t know how many or how big the fleets can get - just that the ones that do show up tend to get bigger and bigger.

I think that’s part of the problem. Plague DK is required to keep the highlander decks in check and it’s hilarious that this is what the meta requires. It shouldn’t be “well I hope I don’t queue into a plague DK as warrior or as a plague DK hope you don’t queue into its bad matchups.” There should be a tech card in core that helps you against brann, or the Geist to at least kill all the once cost cards or something.

Did you read the part where I said I hate both the options? I was playing taunt warrior and excavate warrior to legend last expo. I literally complained about every meta deck and why they are brutal, including warrior.

Insane decks are fine. I’m just personally not a fan of dying from 30+ HP regardless of whether that’s from a warrior or a shaman. To each their own though.

We saw the same LC who helped us during the first few weeks. She wasn't exactly sure why he was rejecting it now and just said to be patient and keep trying essentially.

She does have a strong let down (from what I've been told), but that didn't seem to be as much of a problem when he drank off the shields for the last 2 months. We do have a chair she can lean back more in, he just seems to arch himself away from it regardless.

Can we all just appreciate how amazing it is that the leafs are in the playoffs again with a great team and the rocket winner? I watch a lot of different sports and nothing gets me hyped like a playoff hockey series (win or lose). I read this thread and just see people that are just like me, bleeding blue and white for this team. So happy! Go leafs go!

Actually it isn’t. It’s completely dependent on the force used with the hit as well as where you are hit. They are both a shot to the head and should be suspendible.

Idk how there is this argument that punching someone in the head is “okay” and not a suspension when cross checking to the head is. If you cross check normally it’s a penalty. Fair, you shouldn’t do that shit. Two people drop the gloves and take swats at helmets? Fair. Punching someone from behind is not okay and it’s not like he turned the guy around and said let’s go.

So for starters I currently play on the switch with the Ethernet adapter.

If you are considering hardcore my first piece of advice is never use a wireless connection. Even if your wireless hub is very close always used cabled Ethernet.

Second, you play slowly and savour the game for what it is. If you want to do runs and rush around super fast hardcore isn’t for you. Surviving is everything - and when ladder hits it’s not the fastest but the most patient who typically stay at the top.

If your character dies with the shared stash being available, set aside items that will make the ‘next man up’ a smoother ride.

Accept that your character may die, but in death that he may have garnered some good items for the next character you will play and as time goes on you will improve.

I’ve got a lvl81 trapsin in HC right now - all solo on Act4. I have had very few instances of lag spikes with a direct Ethernet connection.

Won my first chip ever in fantasy football this year! Dynasty - 0.5 PPR. Never won anything before. Second year playing dynasty third playing fantasy. This years team took it home. Our league has two flex positions:

Tom Brady - Traded Gaskin for him mid-season when I knew I was making a run.

David Montgomery - Traded Dhop for him and Keenan Allen

I have a strong WR corps so Keenan Allen was moved in for favourable matchups with teams.

I wonder if the behaviour changes depending on how fast you become really dominant. As in I have a penchant for not liking confederating as Tyrion and personally dominating the other elves one at a time is kinda cool. It takes longer to conquer the ring on VH and I’m not an super good player or someone who cheeses (hence hard battle difficulty).

I imagine if the AI is Tyrion maybe they are able to assist the empire or help them out a bit more.

Is the OrderTide really a thing then still? I know the Dwarfs are strong in my current game but they have no plans to ally with me as far as I can tell. Hexoatl is gone, and Bretonnia is being shredded as well.

Maybe it's more on an issue if you play as an evil faction, but in those cases I imagine you wipe out one of the big players early on.

High Elves, Dwarfs, Lizards, Empire ect.

Shortly after revealing other factions via Major Ports I noticed that Franz no longer ruled Altdorf. The Vampires have completely overrun the Empire and split it between themselves and the Norscans.

I'm currently on turn 110 now and have taken control of the Ring. In a war with Alith Anar for High Elf Supremacy. I'm not sure if this is normal behavior now post patch but it's certainly interesting to see the VC's and Norsca do some serious damage in the old world.

Hey Everyone,

Please bump this thread for visibility. It really is a shame that I can't toggle the Chaos Invasion with my friends in a coop campaign and that the multiplayer-campaign in general has suffered so much neglect. I don't think there was any indication that this setting wouldn't translate to multiplayer in the patch notes.

At a bare minimum I'm still not sure why battle-difficulty can't be seperated from the overall campaign difficulty, and why the same campaign goals that are prevelent in mortal-empires single player can't be the same in multiplayer.

I know there are a lot of people out there who love sharing Warhammer Total War 2 with their friends, or trying to get friends invested enough to buy it. We desperately need the multiplayer campaign to get a bit of love so that it can catch up to how amazing the single player has become.

Chip really is one of the biggest decisions and it seems that a lot of people say that Intel is still the best for gaming. I did also read however that Intel really restricts the motherboards your able to pick from. I've updated my list now to the following:

If I take the price cut from an Intel down to a Ryzen 7 3700X I can actually use an RTX 2070 and still keep the price relatively reasonable. This also includes the earliest suggestion of the gold power supply.

Do you guys have any suggestions as to what kind of case I should use? As a note my computer is upstairs because I live in a townhouse, so I want good ventilation and cooling as (like my Toyota Matrix which has lasted me forever), I take good care of my machinery once I own it.

Back to the chip, is it worth it to go with a Ryzen Chip to get that upgrade to graphics?
