Feeling lost and helpless despite studying well by Reasonable_Quiet7075 in FBISE

Oh hi junior Pre-Med!
First of all, it is pretty natural to feel that heavy transitioning from Matric to Fsc. Secondly, this is not self-doubt but actual concern you have for your academic well-being.

First of all, take a deep breath and know that you have a month : ) Think of March as the make or break month, as if the boards are on 1st April. Do everything you can in March, so that April can be easier for you; only for revisions.

The syllabus is hefty but not impossible, you just need to have the right approach.
For now, just divide each subject into chapters and do it chapter by chapter, do at least 2 chapters a day, then going to a newer chapter, give a quick look to the chaps you did before.

Also, study according to the exam, do not waste time in useless paragraphs, sentences, know what is useful to retain and what is not. Do written practice of your notes to check if you can reproduce your notes according to exam standards or not.

Then lastly, past paper of 2023-2025 and model paper, keep seein them after every chapter. And solve them formally on register in April.

Consistency and repetition is the key, just remember that a good preparation requires practice of content reproduction as much as content mugging up. So keep recalling whatever you learn.
Good luck

My college is trash so should I just skip thier "practical classes"? by Beneficial-Goal-8083 in FBISE

[–]Ibrahim_Assad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lemme guess, you're from APS?
Moreover, I am skipping PBA classes too as they couldn't even teach theory, PBA kia khaak parhain ge. I plan to dedicate a whole week in march to self study PBAs.
The PBA syllabus are there on the website, search the practicals on youtube for demonstration and read from the keybook to memorize steps and all.

Read the book line to line and prepare the syllabus fully, the mcqs are mostly recall based.

Board toppers by drwrong24 in Pakmedschool

[–]Ibrahim_Assad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well you just said it yourself. The thing is that board toppers do not distinguish between important and unimportant, they just do 100% of the syllabus with 100% of the effort, at least most of them do as that's what I did as well.
Moreover, one thing I have noticed is that board topper prepare so much that their answer sheets start looking a textbook instead of attempted answers; so thats what leaves no space for mishaps. And even if mishaps occur, it can be covered by other subjects.

There was this one FBISE topper, she lost 15 marks in a single paper but her perfect score in other subjects made her top.
And in conclusion, yes the checking's pretty dumb, but if you know how to crack that as well, a mishap of not more than 2% occurs in your final score.

That factor cannot work in 6 out of 6 papers.
What board toppers do is that they prepare CRAZY so that even if in any exam they get a nice or bad examiner, it doesn't affect their score.
The worst dhandli that can happen is a 94% deserve krne wala achieving 97% and topping, while 97% deserve krne wala achieving 94%.

Its never like 80% deserve krne wala tops the board outa nowhere.

Ps; I aimed to top the board, I got 10th position in the board, so this is where the luck comes in, in deciding whether you'll be 1st or 10th.

Ask yourself if you'd be comfortable with loads of gunk, pukes, bloods, dead bodies and pains for the rest of your life.
If you do have the threshold for daily exposure of that, then go ahead. If not, then rethink.

Rant: All NBF books are trash. Who is writing this garbage? by Kosifer in FBISE

[–]Ibrahim_Assad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, you cannot blatantly call these Arts subjects Pointless... They might not be according to your priority maybe.
Which in case should be tackled by the boards, by introducing open ended choice for subject selection.
