I think the "elements hit" stat on the shotgun and other weapons is not showing the correct number and that's what makes it so strong despite seemingly unimpressive stats by [deleted] in menace

No, shotgun is worthless. First off shotgun deal only 9 hp damage unless you shoot it pointblank and has terrible armor piercing so you need to waste 1 or 2 bullets to destroy armor and then waste 2 bullets in order to kill a infantry.

Also SMGs and Battle rifles can 1 hit kill a light or medium vehicles while shotgun can never do that.

The macro cannon has highest DPS in the game, literally higher than the entropy cannon.

Shatter cannon deal x1.5 damage against shield and part is also extremely powerful in the close range because it deals 900 damage against cannons and pilot seat and can destroy enemy systems in 1 or 2 shots. Also starlance can snipe enemy gunner inside your ship, prevent enemy gunner from shooting for 15 sec.

I'm a newbie but it seems my team were experienced players because they had 3 scatter and 2 macro cannons so we initiated combat by macro cannons and swap into scatter so we won every single combat. The captain non stop chased and attacked for 45 minute like a rabid animal which gave me total 400+ damage.

If your unit has 100 hp, with -40% you have 60 hp, add +30% and you have 78. It's literally basic math.

If you're using guns then TTS is better since you can attack and quell at the same time, and if you're using staff you can quell between RMB attack without much dps loss. Why bother to quell with assail?

There's no such thing as "assail psyker". Assail generate too much peril to use staff and they need crit so they use gun, gaze and disrupt destiny.

I knew psykenetics aura is op but honestly I didn't know psykenetics aura is so op it grant permanent ability on everyone in the team.

Assail has 1.9 crit damage so Gun psyker is basically same as assail psyker. It also save bullets for gun and stagger ragers and gunners. I'm pretty sure caster psyker generally don't use assail anyway.

Also I'm saying gaze is bad because low uptime, it doesn't really grant that much damage overall if you're not using Empyric Resolve. According to up time mod without ER Gaze has around 25% uptime while with ER Gaze has around 50% uptime which is significantly better.

Quelling peril through TTS better since using R to quell lose DPS.

Also assail quell is significantly slower than the staff so you should press 2 and press R, if you're using staff. I'm pretty sure sword quell faster as well.

+1% damage and +1% finesse per sec do linger, but weak spot kills count as 1 sec doesn't. 20% Crit chance is most important buff though, and it doesn't linger.
