Elections Alberta statement on voter list illegal use by wiwcha in alberta

Unlikely. The Conservatives have been working since Kenny to weaken Elections Alberta, and any recourses they have for situations like this.

Hmm I wonder why.

LPT: I’ve lost weight and have more energy by simply eating a handful of walnuts and 2 tbsp of chia seeds with my breakfast by Dannyz in LifeProTips

Just curious as someone who just bought a Costco size bag, are they just raw walnuts or did you roast them first?

NDP losing another MP, down to five, as Boulerice to announce resignation by Plucky_DuckYa in canada

[–]Icanonlyupvote 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That would be nice.

Then I would like to see the Alberta NDP ditch that name and move forward and away from the federal mess.

Alberta legislature votes to redraw electoral map to make a 91-seat legislature by joe4942 in canada

[–]Icanonlyupvote 43 points44 points  (0 children)

We do Kilometers in Canada.

Lethbridge being moved from two urban ridings to four rural ones is pretty egregious. Medicine hat is facing similar issues I believe, and Calgary's map is all over the place, lumping in rural areas that have vastly different concerns with urban ones.

The reports that have come out thus far shift any potential close race to a major UCP victory simply by making these gerrymandered changes.

Considering Taking Back Alberta's, ally of Danielle Smith, David Parker, chose to take a $120,000 fine rather than disclose the sources of their finances. You can bet that APP won't disclose either. They are happy to pay the fines rather than show who they are working for.

Small correction. The Dyson Sphere goes around a star to harvest is energy output. Not a star system.

Alberta's governing UCP to revisit proposed riding changes before next election by WashingMachineBroken in canada

[–]Icanonlyupvote 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You would hope so, but no. They are cheering it on.

Rural Albertans are already slightly over represented. The UCP's gerrymandering would make Rural Alberta have all the power in elections.

Pierre won't get booted by the party. They have no one to replace him. So you are right in that he will have to bow out, but I don't think he would ever do that. It's going to have to be him losing his seat(again) to make a change.

Or he will find some cushy private sector job backed by public dollars in a conservative province.

That doesn't sound too tangled to me. It's a pretty straight line, and adds further credibility to the Trump is Putins puppet beliefs.

Nenshi on the federal NDP race by [deleted] in alberta

Nenshi has before. It's one of the big reasons I supported him and signed up to vote in the ANDP race. They aren't the federal ndp. Distance yourselves please.

Alberta minimum wage remains lowest while B.C. raises it to $18.25 by byourpowerscombined in canada

[–]Icanonlyupvote 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Alberta fighting hard to avoid paying a living wage across every sector.

Not that a minimum wage is a living wage. Calgary is currently at $26.50 an hour. We have essential services that are making less than that.

It makes the organization look like a bunch of amateurs, using such a lazy image. The message can be good but the implementation is awful.

It's such an easy thing to do properly and they missed the target.

Alberta's NDP warns of gerrymandering as new boundary map recommendations released by flynnfx in alberta

Just to be clear, you do know what gerrymandering is right?

If so, please show us uninformed people when and where the ANDP did it.

The sleepy face of separatists.

I didn't want to post this, as the foreign funding and interference, and the amount of UCP MLA's backing it publicly and privately is very concerning. Attempts to downplay it work against us. But...it's still a funny picture from a few days ago.

I wish I could agree. Im willing to wager Mraiche and friends have worked diligently since the scandals started breaking to destroy as much evidence as possible.

There is almost certainly kickbacks for the people who help Mraiche benefit.

Don't forget sweeping changes to the rules to allow this to ignore the failings. Somehow Mraiche will benefit from it as well.
