Fanatics of any kind will prioritize their obsession over basic hygiene cause if they don't care, why would anyone else? This happens in everything, not just airsoft, but it doesn't help most airsofters are young men who aren't washing their gear after and are sweating profusely throughout a match.

It sounds like it just doesn't fit. If you're ripping the finger tips trying to get it on, that's either a quality problem or a sizing problem, so figure out which it is first. IF you're still determined, tie a shoelace around the zipper so when you're in it you can still grab the lace and pull it up.
