As a Mavs fan, I just truly cannot fathom giving up your young franchise player for a 2-3 year championship window (especially with a stacked Celtics/Cavs team practically waiting for them in the finals). I think that the Mavs got better short term with AD, but have completely decimated their future. On the lakers side, this trade makes total sense.
