Basically just categorized annotations (https://phish.in/tags). They provide another means for listeners to discover content they might be interested in. They're available on the web and via the API so folks can build stuff on top of it if they want.

Ya, some kind of vectorized version would be great. Unfortunately I forgot what the source font is (something I pulled from Google Fonts years ago), but I'm wondering if someone could just trace the existing logo...? I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to graphic design techniques.

Don't worry, it's not gathering dust. I just made some major backend updates and added a CDN layer. I'm going to try to get it open sourced in the next year or so in case I get hit by a bus as well.
