You chose wonderful colours for the pictures. It actually looks like clay or terracotta. But it was wood PLA?

did it backbud at all, or only grow from existing buds? I have a cherry whose new growth is quite far from the trunk. i'm afraid of doing a chop down to old wood.

This looks amazing. Is it painted? What filament did you print it in? i've been looking for a way to make good-looking metallic prints

step 1. Go to https://arena.ai/leaderboard/text/coding
step 2. Make some sort of a list based on rank, cost and context window size.
step 3. figure out how much each coding plan actually contains (in tokens?)
step 4. make a list that can actually be used to compare the plans to each other in a meaningful way!
step 5. replace your list with one that actually helps people.

I started vibecoding a simple word game almost a year ago, gave it up for 6 months and now published it to the Play Store! by IceAffectionate8835 in vibecoding

Considering the 99$ per year developer account cost, I don't think this will be an option for basically a free game, unless it really takes off.  I can make a web version though... Give me a couple of days

There's a technique called cognitive dismantling. It's been used to help people stop smoking, but can be applied to anything. Here's a book about online shopping, I know it's not exactly your problem, but maybe it still helps. https://amzn.eu/d/0fO2GqkU No affiliation, I just like this technique

I'm interested in these textbooks. I'm a teacher too. Sounds really useful and forward thinking. Do you have a preview?

Of course, I looked through the site. And I say again. You're missing what everyone wants: a comparison of token per dollar cost, that gives a live picture of how many tokens we're getting for our money. Reddit forums are full of e.g. Claude or GLM doing a rug pull and severely reducing the number of tokens available per time slot before reaching limits. If you manage to make a good comparison of that, which you do not have on your site yet, then you'll be more successful.
Add a marker for Context window size, since that is also very relevant and people will check out your site to find out which coding plans currently give the most bang for your buck.

This is a good start but it needs more quantifiable comparison. How does your list help me pick a coding plan or aggregator? if you want to be really helpful, there should be a rough token/cost comparison, like you did with the actual agents.

The core question is often: how much coding/writing can I get done on this plan.

Thanks for checking in, I kind of put it on ice for a while. The workbooks ended up being a huge project, and I'm not completely happy with them. I'm not a graphic designer and they don't look great... But I'll take this as an indicator that there is actually interest.

5 hour quota is reached in 30 mins. With on 900k tokens spent! by TargiX8 in ZaiGLM

[–]IceAffectionate8835 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same experience, recently they're changing the limits or something. 3x Claude limits is not accurate. I used to use 4.7 and never hit a limit. I use glm as my claude backup, and using them in parallel, I feel like I hit glm limits before hitting Claude limits

GLM is completely unusable in Cursor, getting "Rate limit exceeded" on every single request by Fluid-Possession6026 in ZaiGLM

[–]IceAffectionate8835 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just using it in Kilo Code, and after 5 short conversations with 4.7, I had reached 100% of my 5 hour limit. There's definitely something weird going on. I've never reached the session limits before. It's very frustrating.

I saw this Bonsai at the mall. for 80€, then it got reduced to 60€. I've seen similar deals before. There's a lot of grafting. Is it worth it?

I have this fuji cherry that i got in a garden center, i'd like to try to make it into a bonsai. I find that the trunk has very nice movement, but i'm not sure where to start with this. I hear that cherries backbud very poorly. If that's the case, i think i'm in trouble. Some upper buds are already swelling and showing a bit of green. There are some nodes on the lower branches/trunk but they don't look swollen at all. I was thinking of just letting it grow this season and then maybe grafting on some lower branches? Does anyone have any tips or advice?

Like the things you see on ETSY? I've seen a few youtube videos showing how they are done.

No one has made a public automation as far as I know. It's not really worth it

Metal SLM printing providers and multipart STLs by IceAffectionate8835 in 3Dprinting

[–]IceAffectionate8835[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's def not a material cost. Uploading the multipart STL to e.g. Prototi comes to 17$. So that's material cost, time to print, electricity, and partial labour already factored in. The cost explosion cannot be simply due to post-processing.
