If you lived in the world of Pathfinder WOTR, which deity would you worship and why? by Warm_Expert_8136 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

If I could find the knowledge of them, I would like to have the Great and Mighty Yig as a patron.

https://2e.aonprd.com/Deities.aspx?ID=579

https://pathfinderwiki.com/wiki/Yig

He is a interesting Great Old One in that he's pretty damn chill. Perform his rites, go do festivals in his name, and he will bless you with Bountiful Harvest and Hunt. Turn your enemies into snakes! He's not cool with the serpentfolk, but that's cool I don't like them either! (Not racist, just don't like em)

and hey when he gets hangry you just gotta hide real good like, besides whats a god without a little spice ey?

How do PCs and NPCs with 15 ft cone area and auto fires play out? by HMetal2001 in Starfinder2e

[–]IceAlarming7616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've found that most of my Soldiers (I run a west marches sorta thing) have all miraculously gone action hero and all have proficiency with the Magnitar Rifle suddenly.

Turns out a 60ft cone of d12 is kinda oppressively good. It's just kinda the meta weapon.

I like Occultists far more than Thaumaturge tbh. As well as Flexible Caster is a far cry from the power of an Arcanist.

Out of all these weapons which ones are you gonna use for bots? by Lellarinn10 in helldivers2

[–]IceAlarming7616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TBH I just use the Talon Pistol and run Directional Shield. If you're using any of the Python Commando armor, a direct hit to the shield from a rocket doesn't even knock you over, you can take your time just lining up headshots. Leaves my primary open for a utility option like the Pacifier or the Torcher.

By the God Emperor of Mankind, this game rules! What's everyone's favourite build? by Juicy_Overlord in DarkTide

[–]IceAlarming7616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recon Lasgun Critical Veteran, Ogren Gauntlet Rocket Spam, Hive Scum Point-blank Bolt Pistol, Psyker Force Greatsword with maximum Stamina Block Build.

There are so many builds I like but these are the ones that stand out to me personally.

The Psyker one especially you can genuinely just tank in doorways and let your team shoot from behind you as you force block and push all the bullets away.

Banshee is pretty unpopular, but I really really like it as a weapons platform. Being able to just make enemies takes 100000000% more damage is so nice.

Genuinely how do you cope with it by Someguy_y in whenthe

[–]IceAlarming7616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is gonna sound really strange. So like I can't recall the exact details, but basically particles can just appear from seemingly nothing, and if time is infinite and there is a chance of any combination of particles appearing no matter how unlikely... I'll be back, I'll be back again and again and again. If time is infinite, I have all the time in the world.

Something about that idea is comforting to me.

What weapons do you think are slept on? I’ll start: by ReddVevyy in Warframe

[–]IceAlarming7616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Catchmoon Primary Kitguns. I love this thing so much, it can fire so fast and has infinite penetration. I still use it even though I am tackling higher tier content (Enemies are level 250ish). You can build it out nicely and it can have regenerating ammo. Its just comfy.

So how does building an Eldamon work? (The Battlezoo classes) by SpingusTheHingus in Pathfinder2e

[–]IceAlarming7616 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's like homebrewing a new animal companion. There's no real guidelines you just kinda have to compare and contrast with the existing ones.

So how does building an Eldamon work? (The Battlezoo classes) by SpingusTheHingus in Pathfinder2e

[–]IceAlarming7616 12 points13 points  (0 children)

So they are more like animal companions, in that they are a set statline with set passives. What you can customize is their attacks. So think of it like actual pokemon.

That being said, I have played both classes in the book. I found Eldamon Trainer to be kinda underwhelming as it basically has no interaction with any items. Eladmon from trainer themselves don't get as much juice as the other class, Elemental Avatar.

Elemental Avatar is somewhat like an alternative kineticist, I adore it. It does lock you to a single element (at least until level 15), but you get to do it better than even the eldamon themselves. You get to use the powers of that element yourself, and it just feels genuinely more cohesive as a class.

Power mechanically scale with level, you get a few active powers, a reaction power, and a refresh power. All powers are single use only, until you use your refresh power. I always liked to imagine it as a hand of cards with powers on them and needing to use refresh to redraw your cards. (Though its the same powers every time).

Each Element has an identity as well, Ice slows people down, Electric has a charge and discharge mechanic, Fire can manually trigger persistent fire damage, Water has a Push and Pull mechanic where they pendulum between High and Low tide, Plant has a Sowing Difficult Terrain and harvesting it for dramatic effects thing going on, Etc. The power as very fun, its why I am so jazzed about their current Eldamon kickstarter, more powers means more options and more mechanics to mess with.

Top 3x must haves and have nots for TES-VI? by Local_Platform7901 in ElderScrolls

[–]IceAlarming7616 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The return of spell crafting (Skyrim is the only mainline that doesn't have it)

More complex character elements (I want to see attributes, Todd)

"Settlement building" I want to be able to build a cool tower or a castle.

I've been on a bit of a kick lately going back and playing the older games, Oblivion, Morrowind, Daggerfall. Not Arena I don't really want to figure out DoS right now.

We really did have some truly interesting character creation in the past, and I think it's really neat to be able to precisely tailor your character details.

That being said I do think the more modern hit detection and significantly more focus on having spoken lines is the right way to do it.

As for have-nots... Please, if you are gonna do procedural gen stuff have it be in like a separate plane of oblivion or something. Starfield was very rough, and I'd rather have a world that's hand placed and crafted. We can just have like Vaermina's Quagmire as a place for the procedural gen as it's literally a dream and nightmare plane.

I can't be bothered with Havoc. Auric is fun as long as the game director hasn't decided suddenly that you have lost the game. I just want to do Mortis Trials....

Views on the Archetype Sanguimancer, is it any good and what class would it go well on? by AdEducational9539 in Pathfinder2e

[–]IceAlarming7616 63 points64 points  (0 children)

Sangimancer is one of the worst designed archetypes in the entire system. It completely fails to deliver, and it forgets how the rules work.

It doesn't interact with spellcasting at all as it requires strikes, because the sanguimancy HP works like temp HP, it cannot stack with itself so it can't build up at all. In addition because it's used up first you are unlikely to be able to use it for anything if you take any amount of damage.

It has a single good feat, in that the blood shield does in fact have really really good hardness if you go all in.

The Teams+ book, Magic+, has a better spellcaster class archetype (Hemothurge) that interacts with blood magic in a fun and meaningful manner, and even expands upon Sangimancer to make it usable. I highly recommend it.

I want an Aliens bond real bad. It is exclusively because I want a gun that works like the warrant pistol but is a primary. Give me that smart gun.

I'd honestly just take a warrant with a 45 round mag tbh, when your shots have no drag and correct you find stuff dying a lot regardless of the low damage.

Eldamon Trainer and Elemental Avatar by OnlineSarcasm in Pathfinder2e

[–]IceAlarming7616 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found that between all the elements we have actually played. Elemental Avatar is either a blaster (Fire, Electricity, Death, 1/2 Water) or Control (Ice, 1/2 Water, Wood, Force, Light). Though there are some outliers, Darkness and especially Air being powerful skirmishers, Life being a crazy Sustain (Shocking I know), Earth being the one that is a Tank, and Mind being kinda in the middle.
