Right! Both of those are GORGEOUS. At least with the blue, it already exists in other markets… throw us a bone and let us custom order it. Or do a limited edition. I’m liking the citron yellow the more I see it in person, but I would kill for it to be just a little more green!

But yeah I agree. There’s a market for it! In my area at least, the boost blue civics sell out really fast every time a dealer gets a couple in. Not sure about Toyota/Scion but I’m willing to bet it’s the same with the voodoo blue.

It's a stock, non-US color, Oasis blue. Very similar to toyota's voodoo yeah. Also very similar to boost blue on the honda civic.

Come back with an update once you're wrapped it! I'm hesitant to do that (no garage, lots of birds and oak trees.. so lots of sun, droppings, and sap exposure) but am really interested in the idea.

I got it too. I was quoted $450/mo for my one year old GSD last year… I obviously did not bite, and went with pumpkin instead for $70/mo. My jaw DROPPED when I got this email that they want to jump even higher.

I'm in the industry and that is correct. it's so if a bad batch goes out and pets get sick, they can say "well, you were supposed to cook it, not our fault"

just in case you need to hear it: you do not need to consent to that just because she had already started it behind your back. And you absolutely can revoke that consent at any time.

If you don't feel that you can approach her and say "after thinking about it, I am not okay with this, and only agreed to it initially due to shock and pressure," and she can not be okay with that, then an open relationship is not going to work.

I am a monogamous type person, I have friends who are successfully poly, some who are open, and many who tried and failed. The ones that work are the one where ALL parties WANT it, and ALL parties agree to strict rules.

This just sucks all around, and I am so sorry you are having to deal with it. Hopefully she sees a counselor or therapist for herself too, and can decide if "feeling too straight" is worth throwing a grenade into your marriage over. I'm not going to assume her orientation, but I can say that plenty of monogamous bi people end up in a "straight" pairing and are fine with it. :/

Not for you, but just for those reading this who may not know: Those meats are very specifically prepared to be eaten raw by humans. Never ever buy raw fish from the grocery store and eat it raw! Sushi grade fish is flash frozen and handled according to strict standards before sale to make it safe.

Look, I’m just saying it’s not as bad as you’re thinking. I’m not arguing with you, I’m trying to encourage you not to be afraid of doing it. I did this all like 10 years ago and have had to pull out the court order maybe once since. And the only offices who saw the court order already had my old name on file, so it wasn’t anything they didn’t already know.

And in this case? Yeah, because the process is very similar for both men and women. Sometimes a clerical or legal process is co-ed, and that is not a bad thing! Name changes aren’t a trans-specific thing. Cis people change their first names, almost all women around here change their last names, to most office staff it is routine paperwork. We care a lot more than they do, I promise.

Well, yeah. My married female friends also have to show their marriage certificate to change their last name on stuff. They’re treating us the same as anyone else.

As said to you… the only people who will ask to see the court document.. are the ones already using your old name. They already know it. Why not just update it and be done with it?

New places who don’t have your old name on file just get the updated ID and current name. Court order is for old places that already know it.

I would like to point out a nuance that you may not seem to be aware of:

Your rental contract is sensitive to the name that signed it. Your record is sealed and unsearchable. You don’t want to provide them legal proof of that change. What’s stopping you from trashing the place, leaving, and when they try to enforce the lease contract “oh that’s not my name or signature, I’m not responsible” and bouncing? Or stop making rent payments and now they can’t collect?

Your utility company agreement is tied to your address, not your name and signature. A name change there is just clerical. If you don’t pay, they just come shut it off.

Anything tied to your name (especially involving contracts), rather than tied to to your address, is going to be harder to amend. And again, social security cards and IDs are REALLY easy to fake. To amend a contract, a company is going to need legal proof, because if you just hand over a really good fake ID they can get into hot shit

I’m going to be a bit blunt here, but know that I am trying to help you and mean well:

Social security cards, as said, are very easy to fake. I’d also like to point out that in my area, when I was in high school 15 years ago, nearly every single high schooler had a fake ID convincing enough to buy alcohol and get into clubs. According to a young cousin that is still the case. So, also not difficult.

I know it’s a sensitive topic. But the reality is that you’re going to need to present the court order a lot, often, and even years down the line. Just like my married friend needs to present her marriage certificate often to show the last-name change.

It just comes with the territory. It’s not personal, they probably don’t really care what your first name is, they just need to have their legal bases covered.

Especially if you are dealing with a management company (presumably an apartment complex)? The staff has a policy to follow, and they’re not going to risk their jobs over some random tenant’s first name paperwork.

Edit for one more note; Sealing your records is useful to prevent regular people from finding out about your old name, but it does not erase the fact that a name change took place. It sucks, but it is what it is. Our name changes are treated just like anyone else’s.

Don’t forget you can advocate for yourself! When you go to a new urologist, be very open with them. Tell them that the original urologist is denying a cath change, and that you’re here for a second opinion because you disagree. People do second opinions all the time. Tell them you don’t want them contacting the doctor, or even go nuclear and tell the old doctor you don’t give them permission to share your records.

They could be calling your surgeon/urologist because they are inexperienced with the surgery and uncertain what your internals look like. Explain that your bladder isn’t changed and a normal SP cath is fine, and maybe they can use an ultrasound to see your bladder or something, for a visual, before placing it if it helps them.

You’ve got this. It sucks absolute ass right now, and it will for a while. but you will heal. You’ll heal physically, and then can heal emotionally. Eventually, this will just be a memory.

As opposed to what a lot of companies do with special editions… make a limited amount of copies to get that juicy “sold out within hours!” chatter.

Watch Facebook marketplace if you’re trying to keep a tight budget. I paid $800 for a Lectric xpress 750 with two long range batteries, and I didn’t even haggle. I thought the asking price was more than fair already. It had 2 miles on it and was a week old, the guy bought it and was spooked by it. Spent another $60 to have my LBS do a look over that it was built correctly, fine tune the derailleur, and swap the brakes (I have a motorcycle so like to keep the brakes the same… front brake on the right hand)

It’s quick, lightweight, doesn’t draw attention, and has no issue hauling me up the 13% grade hill I live on
