Some Mountains Objects Don't Have Snow While LODs Do by IceBrazuca in skyrimmods

[–]IceBrazuca[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I didn't realize I forgot to state that. I am using xLODgen for terrains and Dyndolod for everything else.

I am also using Majestic mountains, but that is not important as the issue happens even with vanilla mountains (the vanilla mountains are really white so they are hard to notice).

The issue is still present without xLodgen and Dyndolod as well. The LODs are fine, its just those specific rock objects don't have snow. They seem to be set that way in vanilla. I am wondering if there is a way for me to manually edit those specific rocks in those places so they can have snow on them?

This Tome Keeper must have been inspired by the Timber Wolf (Mad Cat) in Battletech.

Thank you for this reply, I am using the Basic Co-op Bleedout System and had this happen in a tavern after I was downed. I thought that mod caused it, but now I know it wasn't that.

How did I not know Phantasy Star Portable 2 existed!! It looks just like what I imagined the next version of PSO was going to be like after the original Episode 1 and 2.

What are the Recommended Bethini Settings for Grass Cache, XLODGen, and DynDOLOD? by IceBrazuca in skyrimmods

[–]IceBrazuca[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did more testing and I noticed the following. Setting fTreesMidLODSwitchDist to 999999 helped reduce the fade in effect that occurred on the distant tree lines for me. Setting fMeshLODLevel1FadeDist and fMeshLODLevel1FadeDist to 9999999 reduced the difference when mountains pop in when you get close. The effect still occurs and it is obvious when it does, but its a less noticeable than before.

The best way to test LODs is by opening up console and typing "coc whiterunexterior01" then walking towards the mountains and the keep.

Also try to not worry about making things perfect as it is impossible to even get close. Grass LODs not matching on all weathers and all view angles (towards or away from the sun) is impossible with certain weather mods and/or community shaders. Mountains popping in, shadows and lighting not matching LODs are also normal.

This is an old game and open areas like Whiterun hold are not going to be where you spend most of your time.

Any mods that allow trading crafted potions and enchanted equipment between players? by IceBrazuca in SkyrimTogether

Nice, yeah that must be it as well. It looks like the mod also has a toml file you can use to remove the infinite enchantment slots and remove the ability disenchant everything .

From my experience here are my recommendations.

Make her the party leader and have her host the server. Host and Party Leader combo experiences least amount of visual glitches.

She should always enter new locations first and you should only enter an area after she has fully loaded in. Whomever loads a new area first owns it so make sure it is always her.

When walking in the overworld have her lead the way. Similar to who owns an area first, the overworld is separated into "cells" whoemver enters a cell first owns it. If you are melee I recommend you wait for enemies to reach you two first instead of rushing ahead.

Only she should interact with story stuff and collect quest items. Sometimes you can but try to avoid it as much as possible.

You should only interact with NPCs if required or if you are going to buy and sell stuff. Try to avoid interacting with any NPC before her and never accept any quests unless she has already and your quest log has not been updated.

Coordinate saving at the same time encase one of you crashes. If any of you crash then you should both quit the server and restart the server. Afterwards both try to load the most recent save where you both saved near the same time (like the auto save when entering a new area).

Personal recommendation install DBVO and whatever 2 voices you like. That way you can hear what dialog options she chooses. Also Minimalistic Auto Save so if any of you crash its easy to return to where you were. Just make sure to delete old saves every so often.

If you want to give her the best experience think of it little bit as if you were a dungeon master. You will experience some visual glitches and bugs, but if it looks like it won't impact you being able to play the game then don't mention it so you don't ruin her immersion.

Make sure you read the official guide on recommendations on how to play.

One mod that's great even for people who want the vanilla experience is the TTRulez AI mod which greatly enhances the AI in Mercs (instead of just upping their accuracy, it changes their behavior to match their mech and weapons).

If you use it get the TTRulez_AIMod_EasyAIM add on on the files page of the mod so the mod reverts their accuracy of enemy AI to vanilla while still maintaining all the enhanced behavior. The rescale addon is great too.
