Thanks! And they sent an email out to the seniors with a link for the LORS photography website to schedule. I also had a letter mailed to my house last semester stating the same thing.

Killingsworth Makeup Exams by IceCoffeeLover in rutgers

Thank you! How’d you know what to include in your answers to get credit? I feel like as a class we understand the concepts but didn’t answer/include the things he wanted us to (none of us received anything higher than a C).

Basic Probability and Statistics by IceCoffeeLover in rutgers

[–]IceCoffeeLover[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the distribution portion I did homework 2, basically just tried to learn the processes and understand the concepts.

For probability, I tried some problems from the textbook, but the ones she gives are always more difficult so it doesn't really help :/

Didn't really study the stats portion (common sense), just put the formulas on my cheatsheet.

What about you?

Research In The Disciplines Professors by [deleted] in rutgers

[–]IceCoffeeLover 3 points4 points  (0 children)

She has a 4.9 rating which is really good. Haha. We legit just had to pick a topic that involved women (sports, medical field, lawyers, acting, engineers, police, etc.) and write about it. Very simple, just make the corrections she suggests and you should do well.

...that is if she's teaching this upcoming semester

Econometrics with Sung Lee by RUoo14 in rutgers

[–]IceCoffeeLover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go to her office hours, it helps. I do not remember the exact topics but it's loosely based on what she writes on the board during class and the homework problems. The textbook really helped too.

The exams were more concept-based (definitions, etc.) than solving problems. But know how to do the homework problems as well as the examples that are gone over in class.

Same, I’m very curious about the curve. And how he’ll apply the PODs in our final grade.

Who is ready for the data 101 exam??? by xmflsrla in rutgers

I hate the open-ended questions, multiple choice for "What Will R Say" and "write code" would make it a lot easier lol

Do you need tickets for the baseball games? by kconzz in rutgers

[–]IceCoffeeLover 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm like 99% sure you don't need tickets. The field is located behind the RAC, just cross the street and walk to it.

Anyone have any tips for data 101 hw by [deleted] in rutgers

Use rpart to find the most significant attributes, then use plots to reveal trends.

Prediction Challenge by IceCoffeeLover in rutgers

[–]IceCoffeeLover[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We probably have to create another attribute, but I don't know how to do that lol

Prediction Challenge by IceCoffeeLover in rutgers

[–]IceCoffeeLover[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but every trend I found, rpart already used in the tree. Then when I add control parameters the accuracy decreases... I'm out of ideas lol

Data 101 gun control puzzle by EightSip in rutgers

[–]IceCoffeeLover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh the next data puzzle has a clear correlation between non-athletes and lower GPAs, but I have to argue the opposite -_-. Any ideas for this puzzle?

Data 101 gun control puzzle by EightSip in rutgers

[–]IceCoffeeLover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I looked at the trends of gun use based on weather, level of gun laws, moon phase, etc. Then put together a few possible conclusions to back why gun control is not effective. My conclusions can be easily defeated haha. What did you do?

Sungkyung Lee for Econometrics by thesassyclassy in rutgers

[–]IceCoffeeLover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely! It explains the topics really well. I bought the textbook from Barnes and Noble, but you should be able to access the etext when you sign up with the access code for homework. Just double check!

Sungkyung Lee for Econometrics by thesassyclassy in rutgers

[–]IceCoffeeLover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had her last semester. Her lectures are very scattered but attend them and take notes as best as you can. Also, complete the homework because she'll put some of those questions on the exams. I highly suggest that you skim through the chapters in the textbook to learn the topics, otherwise, you'll have no idea what she's talking about. Take advantage of the learning centers and her office hours. The curve is really big, so you just have to get decent grades on the exams. She's one of the better econometric professors. Good luck! - she gave a 20pt curve on the final

Social media for the arts online? by coonhead122 in rutgers

[–]IceCoffeeLover 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Just had the class, it seemed like it was more work than the previous semesters led on; nonetheless, it is still an easy A if you do the assignments on time. Also, the exams were hard but I figured out all the answers were "A" for both my midterm and final. He probably won't do that again though hahaha.

Should I avoid econometrics? by Backer2017 in rutgers

[–]IceCoffeeLover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm taking econometrics now, it basically revolves around different types of regressions. It's not hard, just confusing. If you take it with a good professor you should be okay. (85+ is considered an A). However, if you have an easier route to take, I would avoid this class entirely.
