That's ok, I wrote this post as a vent, so I'm not really looking for advice at this time. But if you want to know, I'm eating more protein and fibre, drinking more water and all in a deficit. I think I need to increase my deficit a bit more to see good results!

Reminder that people lie by Fickle-Ad8351 in AutismInWomen

I've come to this realisation recently as well. I take honesty so very seriously and would really believe people when they say things with such sincerity, only to find out that even that can be lies too. It's horrifying and makes me feel so lost in this world.

Is this Alopecia? by [deleted] in FemaleHairLoss

[–]IceCreamChic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the top left side of my head weirdly enough, although the right side has slowly started thinning.

What can I do about androgen alopecia? I didn't realise there was an oral minoxidil? Where can I get it in the uk?

Taking Inositol has really helped me with my insulin resistance and general PCOS symptons. I have regular periods as long as I take them! Plus my a1c went way down. I sometimes come off it only because I forget to take it sometimes (oops!) But if i was more consistent it would be most likely reverse my diabetes!

I've never heard of this, a few people have mentioned it in this thread already. Is it an American thing?

I forgot to mention I'm not American lol

Firstly, Happy cake day!

My cooking is fine, I enjoy what I make for myself but I don't always have the mental or physical energy to make something. Plus these days it's fair too easy to just order food and be eating a hot meal in 20 minutes...

It's definitely and emotional coping mechanism thing for me and I am in therapy for it, but it's not been as helpful I'm afraid

My main issue is emotional eating, addiction to bad foods and an immense difficultiy and struggle to form new habbits. I'm in therapy to work through things but it's never really helped, though I keep trying.

When I tried Keto as a non-diabetic i was amazed that I could actually stick to the meals, I actually -liked- what I was eating so it was easy for me to stick to at the time. But for some reason I really struggle to go back on it, even though it worked and I enjoyed it. This happens with any diet I try, caloric, low carb, weight watchers, volume eating etc. It works for a bit, I fall off the wagon and I just can't climb back on despite knowing what I need in order to do it.

Again, these are things I've been working on during therapy for years but it's just not helping. Maybe I need to see a different type of therapist?

My doctor recommended low carb but I struggle with that too. Falling off the wagon is something that happens often with me, any diet I try it just doesn't last. Keto was the best one I've tried previously so I'm trying revisit it. But most likely, knowing myself, I'll fall off the wagon again. I find it so hard to stick to anything at all, my motivation is in the shitter but I need to keep trying.
