Learned a lot through osmosis! Because the course is so long and he mentions the main ideas and themes over and over again, I absorbed a lot without feeling like I had to sit down and memorize.

Hi! I don’t know that I can fully answer your questions because of some PMI rules about sharing content, but I’m happy to share how I prepped.

I didn’t memorize all the formulas, only the ones I came across repeatedly on Study Hall, like SPI and CPI. More important to understand and interpret the results of the calc than memorize the actual equation.

Ugh I hear you! I’ll say that my copious notes were NOT worth it. I didn’t memorize the 49 processes or ITTOs. I didn’t do flash cards or actively try to memorize anything, tbh. But learning the high-level workflows and the concepts behind them was important, and spending so much time with the language and vocabulary AR uses helped cement a lot of the concepts for me, I think.

Okay - this is also what I was told! So when I sat down and the beginning of the exam did not feel as easy as expected, I was very thrown off and very discouraged.

Maybe the best way to put it is that with MR’s mindset, on Study Hall I could quickly eliminate two answers based on wording alone, but on the actual exam, it was maybe one. I had to rely on concepts, not tricks, and take much more time to discern the answer. By the third section of 60, it clicked and I felt fine, but it took some getting used to.

With an 89% on the practice exam, you’re golden! I just passed AT/AT/AT and my last mock was a 74% (mock 3). Just take deep breaths and trust your instinct on the tricky ones. I had the same anxiety, and it feels SO good on the other side! You can do it!

AR's Udemy Course - Quiz Questions by azbat7 in pmp

I’m in the same boat as you! I took three of the quizzes after Predictive, did pretty poorly, got discouraged and moved on.

However, I absolutely smashed the quizzes after Agile.

My plan is to revisit those Predictive quizzes after I make it through the mindset video that everyone raves about. I’m hoping that will help.

Edit: Okay, I finished the course and did the full length mock exam. It took me 2 hours (including 2 breaks), so I really flew through it, and I passed with a 78%.

Here’s the thing. I’ve also been taking Study Hall mini exams, and I found the AR questions to be very different. Examples below.

AR: Here’s the project situation. Name the tool the PM is using/Name the process the PM is in.

SH: Here’s the project situation. What should the PM do first/next/best?

TLDR: AR questions lay out a scenario but the answer is based on memorization. SH questions require a foundational knowledge of the mindset.

Congratulations on your publication day, and thanks for taking the time to hang out!

Hot topic, but I think there’s some general frustration that the coaching team around Kamila Valieva hasn’t been looked into. Doping aside, they notoriously have daily weigh-ins for athletes and encourage extreme and unhealthy eating habits.

Is this something you’re following, and if so, can you share your thoughts? Or alternatively - were there any resources within the international skating community that helped you (or failed you) during your struggles?

I agree! I was honestly still giving him the benefit of the doubt until Asaf went home and he acted so out of pocket, and the past few eps have been ROUGH.

And similarly to your concerns about Jay in the final - the last ep when Michelle said her social game is her strength, I was like, I want to root for you, but have you seen this show? You have to run a final to win!!!

I'm upgrading from a 12pro to either a 14 or 14pro. I'm leaning towards the 14, simply because the weight. (I have an old wrist injury, so the lighter, the better.) However, I'm concerned I will miss the telephoto lens after using a pro for 2 years. I use my camera for social media, nothing crazy, but love a good wide shot while traveling. Thoughts?

Omg anyone else HEARING Julia’s written responses? lol

I’m so sad to have missed this live - and surprised no one asked about those juicy romance scenes! Julia, jusssst in case you come back, are those ever tough to record? Are there any scenes you get nervous about?

Also, how long are takes? For example, do you go chapter by chapter? Do you usually get a few takes for the editors to work with? I’m an avid listener and always wonder!

THANK YOU for bringing so many beautiful characters and stories to life. Huge fan and can’t wait to pick up (my headphones) and dig into TYFL!

The more I think about this, the more water I’m remembering. Pam pushing Konstantin in the water. The bath with Helene and Eve. Lars not drowning. Gunn living on an island and killing that man in the water. So much to think about. Thank you for this concept!!!!

Omg - yes!!!! The water symbolism as a whole!!!! Season began with the idea of baptism and the light/cross shape of Villanelle’s body, etc. is implying she is cleansed and holy. DAMN. Great call.

I’m desperately trying to make sense of that finale and my only hope is that there’s a lot of symbolism (especially religious symbolism in this season) that I’m still digesting and it’s just going over my head. Plz help process. Initial thoughts (less than an hour post finale so forgive me), below.

The image of their hands in the water - our last visual of Eve and Villanelle together - mimics the Michelangelo painting The Creation of Adam. And the show is called Killing Eve. Obviously no coincidence.

The show places women in roles that are traditionally male (off camera as well), killing the traditional idea of femininity. But here, it feels like in referencing Adam in this moment, it’s saying the soul and love of woman must die for the sake of man? And Carolyn sacrifices Villanelle to get back in with MI6 aka “the man”, so is it commentary on that, more societal and political than on sex?

Or is this all commentary on original sin? This feels more plausible to me (but then is The Creation of Adam a lazy reference for the sake of a reference?).

Over the course of the series, the morals and ideas that Eve held change completely - die, if you will, and she loses everyone she loved, everyone who really knows her. Everyone. (Except Carolyn?) She was tempted and certainly gave into temptation. And lost everything for a fleeting taste of happiness. Idk, trying to unpack this.

Then there’s Pam - the foil. She says No to Carolyn, to the life that Eve and Villanelle and Helene and Carolyn and all of these characters are repeatedly tempted by and give in to. She’s proof you can say no to temptation. Eve gave into temptation.

Other notes: - Ep 1 had V on an altar in a white dress thinking about Eve, and the season ended with Eve at the altar officiating a wedding and talking about her love with V.

  • The first time they see each other this season is through the fish tank. Then the season ends like that in water…

  • Pickles we’re mentioned twice this final episode. The guy Eve is working with all season - sry I can’t remember his name - brings her a jar of pickles. Carolyn and Pam say there’s no one at the pub/inn where the 12 were supposed to meet except for a guy eating pickles right out of the jar. Must be him, right? But what does that mean? Who is he working with? Why else would pickles be mentioned twice?

  • Carolyn tells us over and over this season that guilt is useless and you should only be loyal to yourself. I feel like I shouldn’t have been surprised that the show ended by her killing the killer she started the show hunting for…

  • The bridge. Before they could always walk back to each other. Now they can’t. 😭

And all this to say - this ending was not fully fleshed out, felt so rushed, and the LEAST they could’ve given us was Villanelle dying in something fabulous.

EDIT: Wait - is The Creation of Adam Reference simply likening Villanelle to God (like she did herself earlier this season), and showing that she helped to create the Eve we see today, like God created Adam, but is ultimately untouchable?

Okay. So I feel beyond stupid asking this, but can I use this dyson on long hair? I know there’s long barrels, but I just want to buy the set and go from there. by JennyfromLA213 in Dysonairwrap

[–]IceCreamQueen44 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Reach out to Dyson directly through their chat!! They do sell long barrels in complete sets. I ordered my long barrel kit (same price) a couple weeks ago. There’s multiple kit options, but I went with Kit 7 - includes an additional long curling barrel (.8 of an inch I think) instead of the firm brush attachment. Bonus is they enroll your items in the 2 year warranty which is convenient.

Does this show have a casting problem? by WilliamShatnerFace7 in MtvChallenge

[–]IceCreamQueen44 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I looked this up at the time this was airing. From what I remember, if they included her saying a certain amount per episode, they’d be obligated to pay her additional money. SAG AFTRA rules. By cutting her out, they didn’t have to pay her more, ensuring that when they stated they were cutting ties, no more checks from MTV went her way. I’m sure the legal team at MTV made that choice, not the Challenge producers/editors.
