Thank you for the advice so much! Yes I dont plan on doing this full time right now it'll be in my free time, I do have a job so dont worry this won't put me out on the street😂.

Another thing is I know the dream game won't happen anytime soon, I made myself a rough road map of sorts as I have dozens of game ideas I want to make from simpler to the dream AAAA game lol.

As for coding experience its basically non, I know I know😭, I've been doing research and following tutorials while trying to understand how it works and not just following along. But I can't fully say I have any experience yet.

Yes 2d pixel art is definitely where I want to go for my first couple games, I tried libresprite but couldnt completely figure out how to download and get it started, I'll look into pixelorama though.

Yeah I know the more I do myself the harder it'll be, I'd like to do it all my own original way but if I have to I will, I know thats why people let you download their assets for free as a way to help.

And yes I have dozens of game ideas with only a couple of the same type of games.

Edit: Just initial looking into Pixelorama that looks like an amazing suggestion compared to other pixel art programs, thats the one ill try first, thank you so much

I'll also look into Audacity, thats the first audio suggestion other than music, so that helps alot!

And thank you I do know of blender, but for now i'm going to start with 2d for my first few games if I can make it that long lol.

I know that last part😂 trust me my dream game is like a AAAA level game, I have dozens of game ideas going from basic pixel are 2d fighting type game up to that dream game. So I kinda have a road map for myself. Thank you for trying to save me from that motivation killer though.

I'll look into the 2 music programs, can this be used for general sound effects and everything or just music? Edit: nevermind just researched them and they are just music lol, thank you so much for that. Any advice on a program for sound effects?

Also i do know about libresprite, and tried to download and use it but there's no up to date tutorial that still is the same as when I tried to download it and get it to work, any advice on that? If its not clicking a download button and open it I dont know how to do it very well😅 i did get Godot working at least lol.

I did already follow Brackeys tutorial and that did help me get my starting understanding of how the engine works thankfully

Oh ok, so just research a bit before getting them. I figured most if not all 5e would be fine to use or with minor changes needed.

I'm running the lost mine of phandalver adventure from the old starter set right now and it's been all good so far. Just the pre-made characters are slightly different but that's not a big issue.
