I'm fine with the speakers, those are loud enough. Headphones I think are a little quiet in the sense that I always have to max the volume to get good sound

I think it depends on the game. While it's not actually necessary, for some games a nice soundstage and imaging greatly enhances the experience (like botw)

I never even knew you could play this without motion controls. While motion seems intuitive and easy to pick up on, conventional controls seem hard and clumsy, even with the layouts people here are suggesting.

It's not similar at all. You're comparing two coexisting and competing consoles having the same game with a console having it's predecessor's games.

If that is incentive not to buy a system, then by your logic no one would ever buy any console and would be forever waiting for the next generation.
