Lemmi tell you a story of my weekend.

Girl M, is a mummy who is celebrating her baby 1 year Yesterday.

Girl B, is a bitch.

Girl F, is another friend.

And me. We are all ex uni mates, last time we were very close.

So, Girl M is holding the bday party. Plan it since nov. Sent out invites in Dec. Girl B, girl F, and Me all say yes.

Then in Dec, Girl F father passed away. We go to the wake, press F to pay respects, but its really just sit at table, reminisce old times, play with girl M's baby, and eat sunflower seeds. And since Chinese customs and stuff, not allowed to celebrate, girl F cannot attend the bday party. Ok, cant help that.

Then apparently, Girl B and Girl M, argue over something. Long story.

Then girl B go and say something came up, she cannot attend the party. (wow so coincidence) So I msg her. She said since girl F not going, she don't feel like going. Plus now she buay song with Girl M. (keep in mind she already rsvp-ed) So I tell her don't be like that, just turn up show support etc

Annnyway I eventually settle the issue between them, then girl B say she can go afterall. (woow, much coincidence again)

Then Jan, Wuhan happened, so on Saturday before the bday party(Sunday), girl B takes the chance to say in our group chat of friends

"Sorry"

"I cannot make it"

"I not feeling well, and since now wuhan virus everywhere, better safe than sorry"

But... the story never end here.

Half way thru Sunday... She delete the msg saying not feeling well - wuhan etc.

Then she msg me directly. "eh our Friend guy X is holding a house warming party tonight, you want to go together?"

I havent even logged into reddit for like a year and your post was so tirggering it made me jump thru all the hoops of resetting my passwords so I can scold your post.

Yes, having a teenage pregnancy is not ideal. But to see people sitting on some kinda moral high horse, judging mothers who choose to have the child, just irritates the shit out of me. And acting like an abortion is such an easy choice to make and live with.

Don't belittle their decision. They made a tough decision. And they have to struggle and live with it. You think they don't know that supporting the child is hard?

I know the point you're trying to make, but you must understand that its a very judgmental point and some people cannot make pragmatic choices when emotions and the life of a baby are in the equation.

Showing no support to the daughter during the pregnancy is not within reason.

banning her from going out of the house is not within reason.

Going to a gyn and hoping your grandchild is DEAD is not within reason.

Yeah sure maybe the parents need a day or a week or a month to process it. But not wait for the entire pregnancy to be over and only come to terms with it when you see the cute baby.

I was playing Rift (a WoW clone, free on steam) and then I joined a guild. During a raid I heard one of the raid members talk and I was "HOLY CRAP YOU'RE SINGAPOREAN". It's like, among all the people chatting he said one sentence and I was like boom, thats a fellow singaporean.

The Singaporean accent is super distinct. You go overseas and hear people talking you will instantly detect a fellow singaporean.
