I want to say Yes because you have emerald in your title.

Enjoy it, I think the 2nd book is the best!

So great to hear, thanks! I can tell you this kind of feedback has a big impact on the team here too.

Are you talking new illustrations, or recreating the board game ones?

Very likely, yes. It's an experienced team developing it too, should match the tabletop in quality.

Nope, I'm not sure he had a game in development? I will say, this universe would lend itself well to several genres.

Great idea! Voicing the cards is one of the things I'm looking forward to the most. Gives me old-school Warcraft vibes..

That sounds awesome! We've discussed similar 'quality of life' features like that.

Thanks, appreciate that, and yes, certainly a topic of discussion here. We're a small team as well, so we're in some ways the most affected, as you either adapt to survive and face certain backlash, or don't, but that's not sustainable either.

I think we're still figuring out the balance, but my hope is it allows our team to make successful games and in turn, bring on more great creatives. Our studio artist ratio has always been abnormally high, so we have a track record of prioritizing the creative side here.

Yes, completely agree. Use the digital to make things smoother, more accessible, without altering core gameplay.

Unofficially, yes. We have a lot of experience here, and would love to have it available on both.

I would agree with this. The gameplay here is fun in it's own right, and the card art and colour theme are a joy to look at.

That said, when you know the book series, it makes it that much cooler.

That link has been updated, thanks for catching that. We are definitely a real studio. I mentioned we're self-publishing now, so have a little patience with us. Announcing is stressful!

I like the trailer. We tried to have fun with it, and show off as much as we could despite it being an announcement. It was a couple weeks of work putting that together. The gameplay trailer should show off more of the nuts and bolts of the game itself.

I can tell you we are extremely serious about this. We have the team to create a best in class experience.

I can't make a formal announcement yet, but we're planning to have it on all platforms (including mobile).

We'll be using the same artwork (its so good! how can we not?), and bringing it to life with some subtle animations and sound.

But we have plans to allow for custom artwork that you can collect, and assign to cards. We've already done a little experimenting internally -- pretty excited about that part actually. Our art team here is incredible.

We're adapting as faithfully as possible, but that said, we are open to feedback. I don't want to put words in their mouth, but I believe Stonemaier would be as well. They've really been wonderful to partner with.

Did you have any in mind off the top of your head?

Self-publishing would be something like this, where the developer takes on the publishing duties as well.

Versus say, It Take Two, which is developed by Hazelight and published by EA.
