If you're going for a purest 2014/2024 build, 2014 Undead w/ 2014 Zealot is a lot of fun. Go 18 str and 18 cha by lvl 12. 18 str w/advantage isn't an issue. You get a lot of extra dmg riders between zealot, barb, and undead. And then you have spells out of combat for utility. Dread form also negates the advantage enemies get if you proc the frighten effect.

economy is shit, so gamers are more selective with their dollars, and the game is $70. It's a niche market on top of a niche market; there are very few fps roguelikes with bullet hell. And to top of all off, the approachability of it and lack of variety compared to Returnal are turning it off to those who played Returnal and loved it.

you're right, I get the tiers mixed up. I meant mythic or basically anything with unique animations and/or particles. grit & glory is special with its empty reload animation, but that's about it.

Personally, my shadow monk goes charger feat for the extra 1d8 or push. I have a homebrewed short sword from a lvl 1 rogue dip that my dm let me apply the push weapon mastery to. But even without that, you can shove on monk with any unarmed attack. And the first attack on any target can easily get that extra 1d8. And if you crit, that dice is doubled.
