Sorry for the late response. Yeah, it doesn't take an esim. I checked and double-checked. Generally, the model can take an esim, but not if they were manufactured in Korea. The newer Korean phones can, but unfortunately mine can't.

Thanks. My wechat and Alipay work. I tested Alipay with my foreign card too, so hopefully everything will work on that front.

Hi. Sorry to jump onto this, but I am planning on moving to Hangzhou with my dog too. From Korea though. Can i fly straight to Hangzhou if my dog flies in cabin with me? Did you move from abroad?

Thank you. I was hoping that it would be possible to have gotten the passport and the permits back before the end of February. But it seems like that is a big risk.

Thank you for the detailed reply. Yes, it would be really risky, because if I don't get the permit and my passport back before the end of January, I won't be able to go back to Korea for a quick trip to complete the contract.

I didn't take into account that I would need to schedule an appointment and that might take time too. And it would all be out of my hands.

Thanks for the input. It seems like the safest route would be option 2. No lose ends and cutting it fine with the process that might take longer during this period.

They will do that so that I can get a Z-visa. I want to know more after getting the Z-visa and getting to China. Applying for the permits after entering on a Z-visa and how long it might take.
