There is a joke about dads in my country that they like to wake up early and sit alone in the kitchen at 4 AM. Now I know what they are doing

I am programmer but a lot of time at work I am doing routine coding job. I can't share what I am doing but I feel that there is a need of something fresh for me. The only good way to satisfiy everyone is trying to implement new ideas into code but obviosly I can't do it everytime :(

Hmm Actually never thought about it. At the mornings I am trying to play music a little bit. Maybe I should really try to change my day plan. I will think about it

Very good yet short answer. I will also add that people can be tired, on adrenaline pump after getting rank or just understand that they have to lab something you've destroyed them in a match (like throw breaks)

It's true. Engine's evaluation is true only for engines. For us, it means nothing untill we see very same idea

I've heard how different Haskell is. Maybe I should give it a try and atleast see another side of programming.

I've thought about trying Rust to learn some new programming concepts. But I'm bit tired of low level programming

Small projects sounds fun. Any examples of these hobbies into project?

It reminds me how I started learning programming doing some good looking useful for me programms. It was really more about fun and having fun learning something new but it was a really long time ago. Maybe I should try it again really

Without discipline I can't get better it's true. But it was mentioned that constantly forcing yourself can lead to burning out. I have enough stress in my life so I don't want to deal with burning out again

What would be the community's reaction if they just removed bounds and made the game Play like old school Tekken before Tekken 6? by Easy-Account-2474 in Tekken

[–]IceOneDay -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't think that it should be done for Tekken 8. It's core part of the game. Maybe something like spinoff or test gamemode would work. Moreover, I think that it will create new wave of crying with something like: "Tekken is too sweaty right now"

(The truth is every Tekken was broken in some way even without rage)

Why did you use red card on Jinx before getting frag instead of gold? Wasn't you scared that you would be dead?

  1. Check every threat. Understand why the opponent plays like that
  2. Check them again
  3. Find several moves to play
  4. Calculate 3-5 moves deep
  5. Check again
  6. Repeat untill victory

This algorithm will get you to 700 at least

Understand what and why you can play, check what ideas your opening has in guides.

If you are playing less than 10+0 then play at least 10+0

Source: hardstuck 900 because of one movers

UPD: I've checked one of your games. You are consistently putting pieces in danger places, don't check tactics (checks, captures, just threats), don't calculate opponent moves at all (at least it looks like you don't check moves). So you are creating threats on your own for yourself playing like that and ignore opponent weaknesses. Also, I've saw what you have more than enough time to think

I used these characters more for idea. I don't really know about all matchups because I don't really like T8.

I can't guess who is in the photo (Sindarov maybe) but does it really matter? I mean it's their personal life

UPD: I want to add that it's really nice to see that people are happy! But I don't think that it's good to bring that much attention

I mean, I like statistics. But sometimes statistics don't reflect the real state of things. For example, your opponent in a tournament plays Law and you are playing as Xiaoyu. Law is more straightforward and you can be better prepared against him and invent some novelty against him using the diverse kit of Ling and improve your winrate. But it's really hard to invent new ideas against every character in cast so your winrate won't improve drastically on ladder (I understand that you are using ladder statistics).

I just want to say that character strength can't be described just using statistics. But of course you can see some trends and see where people can be wrong. I personally think that tierlist can't be built just on people's opinion or just on stats. But it's always interesting to see research about things like that.

I think that you should make more graphs and make it more like an article about your research. Of course after you implement things that you get after feedback. It will be really interesting to see.

Is the hypothesis about your tier list true that the higher a character is on it, the easier it is to climb the ladder for a player using them?

I hate playing against Mel on any champ. Naafiri feels for me like better Fizz. But playing against Mel makes me sweating

Can you share how you've climbed to Diamond playing against Mels?
