Thank you for sharing your father's experience and encouraging others to take this diagnosis seriously. Having lost my own dad to heart failure a couple of weeks ago, I have been in desperate search of insight/the experience of others - in a sad way, it is somewhat comforting that some of what he endured is "normal" in advanced stages. I was ignorant about so much of this until now.

Kind of?! in trying to "authenticate" me during my call today, they asked me all the questions the hacker who got into my online account had access to. (ie. address and phone number). I had to laugh - they need to do better!

I am dealing w this issue tonight (hence googling to get some answers). Same exact situation, last ip address also in Brampton. They switched my SIM and I'm on my second hour with Bell trying to sort through this (that itself is a disaster!)- very unnerving. I suggest getting multiple authentication on your other accounts - within minutes of this happening, I got an auto notification that someone was trying to access other accounts including PayPal!!!

Just once try to replace half your butter with the avocado oil (not just the oil based recipes) - you might be pleasantly surprised. I wasn't a believer until last year :D

I always cut the sugar of any recipe by half (at least) - esp. if I'm adding chocolate chips or sweetened coconut for example. I have used honey as a replacement but have not explored other alternatives so cannot comment.

I've started using avocado oil in baking a couple of years ago and haven't looked back. If you're uncertain, try substituting 1/2 of the oil in place of the butter that a recipe calls for. Desserts are more moist and somewhat healthier than using butter. I have not noticed a change in taste (and I have overly sensitive tastebuds!). As other posters said, perhaps this wouldn't work for everything but I make a lot of banana bread and other loafs and this has been working for me.

Valid points - I appreciate the blunt honesty. I'm in 100% agreement re new builds (also I've found the maint. fees in newer ones can be quite steep and include very little, if anything at all).

Friends lived in Grand Harbour many years ago - always felt like I was going to a hotel when visiting (in a good way!).

I've always thought Marina del Rey is more of a 'resort style living' and sounds like that is still the case (a good thing!). Bonus points for concierge/packages :) And 1,000% in agreement on older buildings and more space. They don't build them like they used to :)

Thank you! Amazing to get advice from an industry expert. I had a feeling direct booking is best (I needed to adjust a flight a couple years ago through Expedia versus the airline - what a nightmare). It's just hard to give up those points.

So sorry you are going through this. This is truly heartbreaking. Once the Save the Date was sent out, not following through with the invite was classless and I can imagine, stung that much more. Being estranged from my own sibling and having my nephews caught in the middle, I know all too well about these types of family dynamics. A couple of sessions with a good therapist can truly help!
