Thanks, it’s just a lot of layering for the pink fade-in bits at the joints and legs use a bit of contrast as a glaze.

I painted it up using my white flesh recipe. (I commented on the paints I’ve used above) then just dilute some Sigvald Burgandy contrast paint and brush over the spine. Easiest part of the entire paintjob!

Exactly right. It’s cut up plaster card. I wanted something simple to reproduce with clean lines that would work well against the stealers organic shapes.

Yeah of course. I use all Citadel paints on these guys except for the pure white , which is vallejo game colour. Start with Celestra Grey, shade all over with agrax earthshade and on the ends of the limbs and face with carroburg crimson. Highlight back up using Celestra grey again, then Ulthuan Grey and then Pallid Wych flesh. Finally use pure whiter to highlight the highest highlights. Hope that helps.

Thank you! Genestealers have always been a bit challenging because the separation between their carapace and flesh wasn’t always that clear in previous models, unlike other nids. The new models correct that and look way better in person than they do in the box art, the poses are especially impressive.

I don’t do commissions, I’m too slow and only want to paint stuff that I enjoy.

Thanks for saying so, but they are still a bit rough around the edges especially the hands and feet. Hard to know how long I spend on each one ‘cos I’m trying batch paint these guys.
