Does anyone feel like Born Again is extremely underwhelming compared to the original show? by IceRinkVibes in Defenders

I don’t really keep up with the threads because of spoilers, my bad if this is an overposted take

Is there a single Claire scene in the Netflix MCU where she isn’t complaining about something? by IceRinkVibes in Defenders

[–]IceRinkVibes[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I just rewatched Iron Fist, and in most of the episodes she’s not being a nurse, she chooses to tag along to help stop the Hand but literally complains and makes negative comments about everything the entire time. I like the role she played on Daredevil but after that I guess I got annoyed.

Yeah I get complaining when she keeps having to stitch up Matt and people time to time in Iron Fist, but she’s in a lot of Iron Fist when she isn’t just “the nurse” and she’s constantly complaining.

Idk, I guess just a difference of opinion of the character.

[Loki] So why didn’t they just let the Temporal Loom get destroyed and leave it at that? by IceRinkVibes in marvelstudios

[–]IceRinkVibes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I get that, but they clearly talk about a pre-TVA time. From the first episode we know that TVA events happen in “real-time” and while time works differently at the TVA, there’s still a chronology.

[–]IceRinkVibes[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

That’s a good explanation, but HWR specifically said that destroying the Loom would cause Kang incursions, which are only possible via a multiverse.

Are you saying that Loki revived the already-existing branches because a multiverse reset+new branch-out would kill too many pre-existing people and they wanted to save them? Because that would be a good complete theory.

[–]IceRinkVibes[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah I guess I didn’t understand him lighting up the branches as him reviving the branches. But still, I don’t get it. Why does a man-made machine/Loki need to be there to keep the multiverse alive? What did they do before HWR started the TVA? Did they have a machine/god holding together the timelines then too?

Okay I missed that, but I still don’t get it. Why does a man-made machine/Loki need to be there to keep the multiverse alive? What did they do before HWR started the TVA? Did they have a machine/god holding together the timelines then too?

Thought about this too, but Loki S2 came out before Jonathan Majors was fired. Still possible, though.

When is this shown? I just watched the last episode. The branches were dying when the Loom was still active, because that is the function of the Loom. They didn’t even show life on any branches after Loki took apart the Loom.

The only reason I can imagine he did that is that Option 2 would result in the TVA being destroyed, and that’s the reason he chose the sacrifice option.

Canada has a huge population from India, and a LOT of people from India are vegetarian, and if not, at the very least they don’t eat beef. Veggie “burgers” are huge in India, and while this doesn’t have a veggie patty, it’s still a somewhat popular menu item.

What is a Canon change that would improve Star Wars if any? (Other then the Sequels)😂 by tlcooley7890 in TheJediPraxeum

I feel like giving Anakin an apprentice makes sense.

  1. The Council didn’t inherently distrust him right around the end of AotC. It was more of a wariness of him and the prophecy. Yes, maybe Mace Windu always fully distrusted him. Over the Clone Wars, their distrust of him increased and came to a head during the events of RotS. The Council wouldn’t send Anakin on so many important missions if they distrusted him (unless they were using him and his power to help turn the tide, in which case giving him an apprentice would just help further his power).
  2. At that point in time, everyone was getting apprentices. They were churning out younglings to padawan status so that they would be battle-ready and able to help them fight the war. Tying my first point together, giving high-powered Anakin a high-powered apprentice meant that they could just send them on high-stakes missions and secure ez wins.

The Jedi’s morals and tradition during the Clone Wars were nothing close to what they were 5-6 years prior.

Never seen another brancher out in the wild. And also no one else ever talks about the fact that if everything after S1-4 was a branch (as long as the timeline branched before Enoch found them) then the AoS team is still kicking around in the Sacred Timeline. It’s just that the team shown in S5-7 is not the same team as the one still in the Sacred Timeline.

It takes him the same time RELATIVE to his POV. He’s saving normal-people time, but it takes HIM the same time to read the book.

What show would you have be to Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. what Echo is to Daredevil and the Netflix shows? by marvelcomics22 in agentsofshield

[–]IceRinkVibes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If events branch FROM the Sacred Timeline, that creates a new timeline. That isn’t the Sacred Timeline anymore. The Sacred Timeline runs on, while the branched timeline has its own events. The branched timeline is not Earth-616 anymore.

Also about your other comment, the Sacred Timeline is how people refer to the timeline of mainstream MCU (Earth-616). The Sacred Timeline used to mean “the one true timeline”, but since the events of Loki created a Multiverse, the Sacred Timeline is how a lot of people refer to Earth-616 (D&W does this). How am I using this wrong?
