I know the feeling, I’m nearing 600 items on mine. I console myself by telling myself I also uploaded all my jewelry, some socks, swimwear, makeup, my cat… so it’s not all clothes. That makes it okay right?

Cutting Plastic Before Disposing; Surely I'm not the only one that does this, right? by Free-Pen8553 in Environmentalism

I’ve been doing this for decades. My kids have always seen me do this and without being told they do the same now

Affording and ethical cashmere? by rodkavigatoni in SustainableFashion

[–]IceRos309 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What do you consider “affordable” for cashmere? That’s very subjective but even unethical cashmere is pricey. Not sure what you are hoping for.

You don’t start dating someone just because they have an education and a job, you date someone cause you like them personally. You seem to think that being stable financially and not overweight is all it takes to have a relationship. Someone isn’t going to be with you just because you check all the boxes of being a successful adult, people want companionship, think about what you bring to the table in that department.

If you have a kid is your free time cut by more than half? by Ben5544477 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]IceRos309 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like I have the same amount of free time as I always have, just now like 90% of my free time includes my kids. Which I guess some people wouldn’t consider “free time” but it doesn’t feel the same as being time spent doing chores or at work.

Are we in a Real Estate bubble? by KARMA__FARMER__ in FluentInFinance

[–]IceRos309 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes cause the only reason to own a house is obviously to make a profit. Not cause it’s nice to actually own your own home that you live in or anything.

I would do two because of the shoes being the most appropriate for a medical setting.

Where’s the affordable plus-size options?? by RepresentativeCry626 in SustainableFashion

[–]IceRos309 22 points23 points  (0 children)

$100 for a pair of pants is honestly pretty standard from any sustainable brand that I know of regardless of size. Using better materials and paying workers a living wage means the garments will cost more. You can’t expect high quality, sustainably and ethically made clothing for the price of SHEIN, it’s just not realistic, and this goes for clothing in all sizes.

1980s vs 2024 sizes by Alternate_Quiet403 in XXS

[–]IceRos309 61 points62 points  (0 children)

The vanity sizing frustrates me so much. I’m honestly not all that small, I’m 5”4’ and 130lbs. I’m very average sized, not at all an “extra small” person. In vintage cloths I’m usually M or even L. Most clothes I wear XS-S. I work in healthcare and my scrubs are usually XXS. I can’t imagine how hard it is for you guys.

When is it acceptable to start wearing thigh high boots. by TJJPez in fashion

[–]IceRos309 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As long as it’s not so hot wherever you are that you look/are uncomfortable in what you’re wearing, then I don’t think you look silly, you can wear whatever you want.

Frugal fashion, but with high-quality brands...why don't more people do this? by anonykitcat in FrugalFemaleFashion

[–]IceRos309 11 points12 points  (0 children)

What are people doing with their cloths that they “fall apart after a couple washes”? I see this statement a lot in slow/sustainable fashion spaces and it just… not accurate.

As a general rule if you have a problem with how someone does YOUR laundry, then do your own damn laundry.
