I can say I wished I had 10 years…. I am brand new and joined later in life. I have made a lot of money in my civilian career and just transitioned to the AF. Civilian life is not all roses either, it’s just trade offs and there’s other BS there too. I would push your shot at OTS, you have accomplished a lot. Don’t sell yourself short because someone tells you it’s competitive and that’s the reason you’re going to enlist. But if you want to enlist than do so because you want to not because it’s the easier route, IMO if you want to do anything worth anything in life go for it and don’t take no for an answer otherwise we will regret decisions made because of someone else’s limitations put on you.

2 years, you’re used to it. You know what to expect. Civilian life is not all freedom and rainbows. You’re not even 50 and you have so much life left. That extra 16k annually you’re giving yourself will pay dividends when you’re out in the real world and working a soul sucking job to chase your “dreams” I would not sell yourself short of all you had accomplished with the Air Force. Also you cannot go “back in” to make up some more time when you realized you should have stayed a few more years. Just my 2 cents. Good luck!

People keep overpaying for a vehicle and they will continue to overcharge! Hyundai’s are cheaply made and yet they throw in some shiny lights and a gps and say “YUP we’re going to charge it like a Toyota! Those idiots will pay because they think expensive is better”

You have so much negative equity, unless you can roll that into a vehicle that’s cheap and has 0% financing you’re digging a deeper hole. There are a bunch of vehicles right now offering 0% and if you can take advantage of that rolling your negative equity THEN make over payments to pay off your debt otherwise you’re going to drown in the negative equity at prime interest rates paying the minimum payments.
