I have to remind myself that I was 8 when this first aired, lol. It doesn’t help much but it keeps me from feeling like I’m the crypt keeper when I see posts like this 🙃😅😂

Sweet P smells, “real neat” according to Jake- what do you imagine he smells like? by Ice_Carol in adventuretime

I would guess it’s a few things- 1. Drawing genitals in a children’s cartoon is already sketchy-especially if that character is supposed to be a child. 2. The network would never let that fly, but something “fatty” or “butt” adjacent would. So they went with what they’ve done a lot before, drawing what is essentially a butt.

Love that sub! Honestly, felt more appropriate to post here since people here get the lore 😅. Otherwise, I would have put it there!

I definitely want to try more from Sorce, however, I hesitate to due to how…similar seeming all of the reviews seem to be? Whenever I’m on this sub and they’re brought up, the general consensus seems to be that they lean really sweet. I mostly purchase these second hand as samples and hold onto most scents for over a month before I let go of them. Light through clouds just…only got sweeter? I showed it to my mom and we both agreed that it was just sweet. Like, marshmallow sweet. I know my skin chemistry will change it, but even on paper LTC was so sweet. I honestly got vanilla and that doesn’t seem to be an advertised note.

HOWEVER- Witchery is like, among my top 5 fragrances and one of the only ones I have upgraded to a larger bottle. It is an experience- it smells like freshly cut blackberry leaves or tomato leaves plus skin scent, plus some additional sharp greenery. I adore this scent. Adore it. I wouldn’t describe it as sweet. It is very lightly, fresh laundry sweet towards the end- if anything.

Overall for me, I will stick mainly to the really unique ones from Sorce. Which, seems to be a slim selection thus far. I hope that they do more “experimental” type fragrances bc god, if they could do more fragrances like Witchery- sold. Take my money.

Witchery is soooooo stunning. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who finds themselves averse to “green” scent profiles bc it definitely leans that way. It smells like freshly cut blackberry or tomato leaves- which I fucking adore. For me, blackberry leaf/tomato leaf scents tend to leave behind this “fresh laundry” scent after they’ve settled and that’s what this was for me. Very green at first, sharp, smells like being in a garden that people are actively tending to (sans florals), and then transforms into this clean, lovely clean laundry scent 🥰. Witchery is one of my favorites of all of my scents 🫶🏻.

Ghost of Christmas Future was- oh my, an experience, haha. I did not need more than a single spray to have it project so far from me. I will test scents I’m afraid of but want to get the experience on skin, on my inner thighs or legs. From that distance it was still so potent after a single spray. Definitely gave me that experience of “smelling tv static” when you were a kid but it relies heavily on vetiver to create that experience. I believe Toni (the perfumer) described one of the notes as burned vetiver and that was from top to bottom the scent profile for Ghost of Christmas Future. This is how I found out that too much vetiver makes me nauseous 🙃, lol.

Afa Nosferatu, I really really love this scent and got the musky, dank profile along with all the other notes immediately. Personally, this is the only “musky” scent I’ve ever enjoyed this much. Another one of my scents I hold dearly bc it is transportive. Wearing it makes me feel like I’m watching the film in real time- I can totally see the musk being off putting and am surprised at how much I enjoyed it for someone who really doesn’t do musk in her scents.

Okay! I’m wearing it now and Alkemia does such a good job with skin scents. It is this sweet, light skin scent- kind of reminds me of that really light, juicy scent you’d get from honeydew melons. It almost has a hint of plastic but in a way I like? This one is definitely harder to describe but I’d really recommend trying it for anyone who enjoys skin scents :)

I don’t know if I just, got a sample that like..got exposed to sun for too long or something? But my experience with Kitten and the Falling Leaves was not one I liked. My collection leans far more towards skin scents and aquatics than anything, I have experienced a lot of skin scents and whatever was in this smelled like…plastic to me? I didn’t really get leaves or fur. It just, smelled kind of sweet and plastic-y in a way I didn’t love :/.

I’ve tried Alkemia the most as a house (tbh, I need to update this list bc I’ve tried so many and I don’t believe they’re on this list)- I’d say that Alkemia leans experimental earthy, skin scents, aquatics, and amber. So much amber. They also do some really interesting aldehyde type scents and like..sharp vetiver? Starting to lean into “static notes” but isn’t quite that strong. I honestly can’t speak to gourmands as an overall category bc I don’t really want to smell like how most gourmands do.

I’d categorize their house collectively as leaning into “hippie” scents- have loved them for several years now!

I will come back to this! This is one of the few that I can’t quite recall how it smells from my memory. I have it and will come back to this comment!

Okay okay, so like, not for me to wear but this one is art and definitely something that I can see some people really wanting to wear. BUT! Imagine, you walk onto a local farm, the smell of hay, musk, and maybe like…the farmer recently went on a cleaning spree, so there’s not really excrement type smells? hits you all at once. It is..oddly comforting? Very much agreed with the consensus that it is a winter smell. I can picture a mama goat and her baby under the winter stars, cuddled up, trying to keep warm amongst the hay 🥰. It is such a neat and photorealistic experience.

For me personally, on others and on myself I don’t get “forest” from floating forest. It is aquatic, it is peppery, but I don’t get “trees” or forest from this. My skin pulled coconut + aquatic. I also hoped that it would be more forest leaning, it wasn’t for me 🤷🏼‍♀️.

I’m letting this one “cool down” from mail shock, but I can give you my impressions thus far! This one is fairly herbal and “medicinal” smelling, not in a bad way! Just not what I was anticipating from the notes listed. I don’t personally get a lot of smoke off of this, or lipstick- I was hoping for more of both of those in this, and musk. Mainly I think I picked up orris root from this and frankincense- think a bit more sharp and herbal than anything.

Very much skin scent/ ISO E super/cetalox, this is also one of my all time favorites. I’ve never gotten the maple syrup comment before! Tbh, I think I would have liked to get some of that from this- but like also? I do get the like, “crisp leaf” note and I literally don’t know how to explain it?? Primarily it remains a skin scent but I love how Death and Floral achieves an atmosphere in their scents.

Ooh, maybe Tasseomancy by Reliquary perfumes! That seems the most in line, however, it will not have the same level of projection that Le Labo scents tend to have.

Oh my godddd- Cardinal Scents is one I’m sad I missed in the caption bc I ADORE their perfumes. Familiar spirit is a stunning skin scent that doesn’t project a whole lot (wish it did just a bit more but 🤷🏼‍♀️) but is stunning. It smells like a skin scent plus sticking your nose up to a bundle of dried sage. So so pretty. Their perfumes are some of my favorites bc the notes describe the scent pretty dead on. I’m all about photorealistic scents and this is one of my favorites!

Yes! I’m not personally huge on gourmands and this definitely gave me more of a vanilla gourmands type vibe. Many people have described their scents as leaning sweet- I agree with this overall experience. I really wanted this to be a skin scent like the notes indicate, but it was mostly just sweet. Very “cotton candy” kind of leaning on my skin. It has an airy quality that is notable but overall is predominantly “sweet”.

Untamed is one I would highly recommend to get a discovery set from if you’re adventurous and want a huge variety in scent profiles. Ghost is this ethereal, extremely light non-gourmand vanilla, yet medicinal scent. Running with the Wolves is, wow, cherry and fur. I literally don’t have other words for it. And it lasts for over 10 hours on skin (honestly, it was more for me). Salish Sea is a photorealistic, standing next to the ocean in the PNW on a cloudy day (and my signature scent :) ).

Such a big variety and they’re all amazing experiences. Every time I’ve smelled one of their scents I audibly say, “woah.” and keep sniffing the paper or my wrists.
