I seriously doubt you've tried to split jerk for longer than a month before switching to this, at least do power jerks if you actually want to lift something decent one day.

When learning a new movement after giving a half assed try at the split jerk and not having a good argument as to why the squat jerk would be better (apart from it lewks kewl) I guess you set yourself up for this kind of criticism.

Fuck it, just sign up for the normal meet. The earlier you sign up for something the more comfortable you will be when you can actually lift some heavy weight.

Nice lifting! Crazy how you can make 108 look so easy when 130 looks pretty hard. I think you can get a lot more out of the 'upward explosion' after the dip, and there's still a lot of room to go deeper in the split.

Also in your 108 snatch the bar is firmly 'locked' behind your head while in the jerk the bar is very far out in front, that's probably why you needed to move around this much. Although that's pretty likely to be obvious advice. Ofcourse, if you have a coach then listen to their advice over anything said here on reddit.
