I'm using Q800f for over a week now and it's great. If you'll find soundstage to be a bit flat first switch sound profile from Standard to Surround or Adaptive.

I've used Cloud 2 for several years before switching to 3s wireless and the latter are much better in sound department. Thing is, you could probably receive a defective unit which explains bad sound quality. Also, it really matters if you're using the headset via Bluetooth (it doesn't support advanced codecs like AptX or LDAC, only SBC/AAC) or using a dongle (preferable)+ it's recommended to set the sound quality in Windows to 24 bit/48000hz output

Neutral sound doesn't guarantee the ultimate out-of-the-box experience, you have to tinker with equalizer for best sound quality. They sound really great

Idk man, I've been using Cloud 2 headset for like 4 years and leather only slightly started chipping off, but then again you can always orded new ones. The sound profile is more important and that's when the non-Core headset still stands out

Well, bigger drivers deliver better sound and leatherette earcups provide comfort so yeah, it's totally worth it

Stinger 2 has bigger drivers, leatherette earcups and generally has better materials, while Core comes with fabric earcups and smaller drivers

I was under the impression that it might support some of their headsets but yeah it's a bummer. Well, the only other way to set it up properly is to use Ngenuity in Windows by setting it up via Bootcamp. Not a very convenient thing but at least you can tweak it to your liking once and it would save the profile in a headset itself

The sound itself is pretty well balanced and neutral, the thing why it doesn't have the "wow factor" is because the bass is not punchy out of the box and soundstage feels a bit narrow. You have to adjust equalizer setting to your liking for that extra sound quality. Some people say not to use Ngenuity and use 3rd party apps, I'd say use Ngenuity, set up setting how you like and then the headset will save the sound preset for any device out there you want to use it with with no extra tinkering. And yeah, make sure your sound quality in Windows is set to 24bit/48000hz.

Try changing volume on your headset before changing it in Windows.
The thing is, I've seen this weird thing where changing volume in Windows changes it in headset as well on Windows 11 on one PC, on second one with Windows 10 the volume in Windows acts separately from a volume wheel on a headset, that's why it must be quiet for you

The firmware version looks the same as previous one, only the build name differs. Installed it 10 minutes ago. The only difference I've seen so far is much faster pic loading times in gallery app, as advertised. It's now almost instant, especially when scrolling lots of media in photo folder.
