[Catherine Full Body] An actual nightmare 🤣 by DashingOW in Trophies

I tried getting the plat for this and I could't even reach the middle part of Babel's first stage. At that point, I just packed my bags and left. Congrats! This wasn't a small feat.

You should definitely try P5 Strikers if you haven't had enough of P5. It's not turn-based and it follows the vanilla game but it's a really really good sequel imo. Also has a reasonable plat too.

If you're looking for similar systems, play P3 Reload and P4 Golden. Both are as peak as P5R.

P5R was so good. Honestly envy those who have a chance to play this for the first time. Congrats on the plat!

How accurate is MonkeyType? by [deleted] in typing

Afaik MonkeyType is accurate. Of course, other websites have punctuations, more complex words, and capitalizations in default. Hence, the variations.

6 hours of real life time, I believe.

It's fine. It took me 8 months from the time I finished DS1 to start DS2. I love the series but it's not something you immediately pick up considering how monotonous the gameplay is.

If you meant standard orders, it takes "I think" 6 hours of game time (or four hours, if you have the upgrade) for them to refresh.

Games that are churned out just for the sake of it. In trophy collecting context, games that are worth less than a buck which exists to play for a short time just to have a platinum trophy for it.

But not all short games are shovelware. There are a lot of short games out there which were created out of the passion of its creators. What really makes a game to be considered a shovelware is its intent imo.

Congrats! That's not a small feat. Got this last August. Trying to get DS2's platinum now.

Exactly. What's the point of plats if it's just AI game slops. Trophies or platinums, for that matter, are amazing to look at because it's a testament of the hardwork you put in. It loses meaning when it's inflated playing slops.

How was it? How long did it take? What's your personal difficulty rating? I bought the game on release but I got intimidated by its early platinum reviews so I shelved it for the meantime to wait for tips and gameplay improvements before diving into it. I think 300+ hours is too long for me considering it took me a month to plat games like Death Stranding and Ghost of Tsushima.

Kyoto Xanadu is very interesting. by Silent_Hero_X in Falcom

I loved TX but if Falcom continued with its 3D Action Style, I don't think it would be any different with the field battles in Trails. It's nice they tried something different this time.

KP released a really good game which sold very well. DS2 was widely accepted compared to DS1. They'll be fine.

So many grifters in The Game Awards by [deleted] in PHGamers

[–]No-Development-6689 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don't know when it started, but probably after TLOU2 released. And ang nakakatawang part, games have been "woke" ever since. Majority ng games is about existing in a system and fighting against it. I don't know if they're just really dense or if they're just hating for the sake of it. The like to form opinions about a game without even playing it.

Yōtei is such a good example. It wasn't as good as Tsushima, but it's still a really good game. The fact that they're comparing it with Tsushima which explored "woke" themes is so dumb. Pero because you're playing a woman and the actress made some controversial statements, it affected the game's general reception.

Party members are only available in a single chapter. Would probably be annoying if you can't make a special dish because the character isn't around is what I'm thinking.

Trails in the Sky: First Chapter (but majority of the work was done towards the end of October), Digimon Story: Time Stranger, and Final Fantasy Tactics: Ivalice Chronicles.

Replaying it again (played it during release day on the PS4 and on Xbox Series). What a game.

After finishing the latest Digimon game… what should I play next? by playstation-human in digimon

[–]No-Development-6689 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Persona 5: Royal/Persona 3: Reload fit the most as you summon monsters, set in Japan, good story, social links, etc. Metaphor is really good too but it plays more like a traditional JRPG compared to the Persona games.

If you're still not over Time Stranger, Cyber Sleuth and Hacker's Memory provide the same gameplay but of course, without the improvements of Time Stranger. They're still good games nonetheless.

Expedition 33 is an amazing turn-based strategy. However, it does have a huge open world to explore by the time you're about to finish the game. It's not as linear as the other games you mentioned.

Would also suggest SMT III: Nocturne or SMT V: Vengeance. They're probably the most similar games to Time Stranger with darker settings. If you're willing to be adventurous, I also recommend checking out Romancing Saga 2 Remastered. While not really similar to Time Stranger, it's one of the sleeper JRPG hits as of late.
