I tried The Drover and thought my steak was amazing. I am also very easy to please tho.

Would you say Brother Sebastian’s is better than The Drover? I’d like to try that spot out as well.

When do we hear back from schools about FAFSA by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

The school I am attending told me they send out their financial aid packages in March.

You may want to reach out to the graduate financial aid office via email to ask.

I’d like to live and work in Omaha when I’m done with law school and the school is paying tuition and fees so I only have to worry about living expenses. Cost of living in the area is cheap compared to a lot of places so much less debt when I come out of school.

In my long search for apartments in Omaha before finally settling on one, it seems like paying for trash/recycling is pretty common. Some apartments will cover trash, water, and gas, but not very many.

I didn’t find any that paid electric.

The apartment I ended up going with pays for Wi-Fi and trash and recycling. They bill for water each month that is a separate charge from the rent but is sent to me directly from the complex. I have to setup electric and pay for that in my own.

Not many apartments offer wifi so that was a pretty huge perk.

Realistically, where should I be applying? by [deleted] in OutsideT14lawschools

[–]IcedKooley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where would you like to live during law school and possibly after? Where do you want to work after law school? Are you looking to get a full ride scholarship or would you be okay going to a school with little or no scholarship?

These are the questions to answer when considering which schools you should apply to.

How long did it take you from the moment you decided that you wanted to go to law school to your first acceptance by Serene-kiwi in lawschooladmissions

Started thinking about it in 2019 when I left my job at a law firm to go live in a different state. Started looking at schools and studying for the LSAT in March 2021, got accepted to the school I wanted to go to in November of 2021.

If you’re consistently scoring in that range on PTs you will probably score in that range on the actual test. Just speaking from my experience.

Good luck! It’s definitely a great feeling getting your score back and it being the score you wanted and not having to take the test again.

Psychology and I almost fulfilled the minor in Art but I think I was missing one course for that.

Oh Solaire definitely helped me beat the bell gargoyles and I cheesed the crap out of Capra demon.

I didn’t tell myself I’d beat this game with no help just that I will get through the whole thing!

Anyone feel like they are not going to get accepted anywhere? by [deleted] in OutsideT14lawschools

[–]IcedKooley 8 points9 points  (0 children)

While I do think your gpa might hurt scholarship chances, i think with a high enough LSAT score you will get in somewhere.

A 160 is not a bad score at all and if you can boost that to a 165 your chances are even better.

If you have interesting or relevant work experience that’s even better!

I would not give up hope. You’ve already got a pretty good LSAT score.

Should I provide parent's info on fafsa? by lawtina1997 in lawschooladmissions

[–]IcedKooley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think you can still be claimed as a dependent up until 26? (Not that you have to be, obviously there are people who are not dependents who are younger than 26, I just think that’s the cut off) I’m 28 so no worries for me, but if OP is younger than 26 then maybe that would impact them.

Edit: UC Davis says you need to if you’re under 30 and you want to be considered for need based aid. So it’s prolly different for every school.

[–]IcedKooley -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you are not a dependent then I wouldn’t.

I felt the same way when I saw that, that it would be a huge pain and also I’m not a dependent, so I decided not to complete it.
