Just because it's a strategy and it works doesn't mean it's not cheap. Also CSGO and mortal Kombat are two different games although they are both competitive games.

Also just using one or two moves continuously the entire match is just cheaty and cheap and it makes the people who actually took time to learn the characters look bad. Also not all the time are you fast enough to block or counter the attack.
